But am really happy cos I bid on ebay and managed to get 16 knitting patterns for 3.48 GBP including postage! Have been trying in vain to get needles because I just cannot find any out here and I only have 1 pair of 4mm ones that I kept for some reason. Really need to get some new ones. If I can sell some stuff on ebay tomorrow then I will get some really nice bamboo ones but will ahve to see if i can make some money yet! (spent all my last ebay profit on wool for a scarf for my 12 year old stepdaughter!

Forgot to say in pm, I have loads of needles if you would like any. Not bamboo, only steel, but got all my Mum's as well as my own, so should be able to spare a few. ;)

JoeyEmma - Just shows that knitters are not the dying breed that they are reputed to be.

Sorry playmates, but I have fallen this morning. I had to go to the wool shop for four buttons and came out with 5 x 100g balls of Sirdar Country Style, well who wouldn't it was half price and it's a nice neutral colour called 'almond' which will knit me a useful cardi and go with a lot of things.

Hope I haven't let you stash busters down too much please be gentle with me I tried, but the shop might be closing soon so I have to get it while I can.

I have just finished a lacy baby cardi and I am working on my blanket, will photograph them soon and see if we can get some pictures posted.

    Bella.

    the knittingdaily patchwork wrap?

Have I missed this? Whats knittingdaily?
Just taken up knitting again after quite a while away. Starting by knitting Jean Greenhowe's bride and groom dolls for my friend who gets married this year.
Would like to teach DD to knit, but she's left handed and I don't know if I'll get in a robble (sp) :rotfl:

Soba, I'm left handed and I don't think I knit much differently to anyone else
    How old is your daughter?
Maybe try having her stand behind you and watch over your shoulder, then get her to have a go.....as long as the stitch is completed correctly, the technique isn't too important.....as a 'right hander' your daughter's knitting will look to be really awkward and you'll itch to change her....but let her try to adapt your method to what works for her.

Quite often 'left handed techniques' are absolutely impossible for left-handers to do (I speak from experience).

i have just completed the mr bean teddy and unfortunately due to my problem of things knitting up bigger than they are supposed to he has a very long body, arms and legs but son liked him all the same lol
