    Tooties, they are lovely.
The stripey one and the smock are fab.
Are they all for the same baby?

wow, how long has it taken you to knit all these, and thanks for sharing the blanket, the different stitches look really good.
I love the little eyelash edged one....very frothy and little girly.

O yes, my kids had crocheted blankets on their beds. I too resisted small squares in those days - to much work sewing up, and yes, I vetted the company we kept. I'm just not so sure about introducing a knitted blanket to a 17yr old to display at uni. To me it seems sound sense and will keep him warm, but it's jungle warfare out there. Don't they all have to have the same thing and look alike? Perhaps it will take on and tooties will start a new fashion.

    Bella.

Bella - I'm sure he'd love one! Cath Kidston crochet blankets/throws are selling for about £100 and are HOT at the mo. (Look at the site) Even if he's not too impressed I bet there'd be some girl MORE than happy to snuggle up under one with him!

From time to time Lidl (and also Aldi) have knitting wool and crochet cotton for sale. It is german and very good quality. It is also SO cheap. I bought some FAB cotton yarn in lime and soft yellow shades and crocheted a gorgeous top from S & B book. It washes beautifully and was lovely to work with. They also have knitting needles, crochet hooks and work boxes etc. If you go to Lidl site and ask to be emailed with each week's special offer, you will know when the wool is on its way!:j

I also go out of my way to support small local woolshops (but they're getting quite rare now) because I think they do a great job and generally the staff are knitters & know what they're talking about!

Ooo didn't realise blankets were such big news, better get cracking with mine.

tooties Well done. What a lot of lovely work and so clever posting pictures too. I haven't got a clue where to start but DS says he will help me when I have some stuff ready to post.

I hope other peeps will follow your example and show their work - it's so inspiring, and yes please we would like to see the lace front cardi when it's done.

    Tooties,

Lovely stuff...you are certainly steaming away...I have the best of intentions but some days don't get the needles moving at all....was reprimanded yesterday by my almost 3 gd (who is anxiously awaiting 'her' new baby due 2 days after her birthday )as I was knitting something for DD4...told to put it down and do some knitting for 'her' baby...hope for her parents' sake it is a girl as the idea of a brother is being shouted down.

Would love to see the lace fronted jumper when it is finished...if I ever manage to work out how to put up some pictures I will do so....but a little intimidated by your work rate!

Bought some Lidl wool last week at €1 a ball looks good, unfortunately or fortunately for my pocket the colours available were limited by the time I got there.
