Just finished this (see up there lol!).
It is in Patons Shadow Tweed, which I believe is now discontinued. I used it before for my ponytail hat, but in purpley shades. I have another whole ball of this left as I only used one for bottle cover (bought two just in case). I knitted it on 6.5mm dpns and crocheted the cord.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Does anyone know where you can get the BSJ pattern without buying the Elizabeth Zimmerman book? The only places I've seen are in the US.0

Just finished this for my Grandson. First time I've knit in cotton. Strange pattern from a book my daughter bought me. Integral sleeves, but seems an odd shape?
Don't think the colour has photographed too well...Jack of all trades ... Master of none

I've been searching for the past year but you can only get it in the books or from the Schoolhouse press.
In the end I bought the Knitting Workshop book which is about £10 from Amazon.Oh dear, here we go again.0 -

It is lovely. I am taking it he is quite small ? Sometimes children's things can look a bit odd shape-wise as their proportions are not the same as adults. You will see what you think once it is on....kinda reminds me of 80's bat-wing sweaters lol (mean that in a nice way!)- hope he likes it!

Thanks Orkney.
I have done the 12 month size as his birthday is October and he is quite a big boy.
Won't see it on for a while as I'll be posting it in his Mummy's birthday parcel, so I'll have to ask for a photograph.
I have lightly pressed it and it looks a bit better. Found it hard to keep the tension even knitting with cotton.Jack of all trades ... Master of none

Cotton does have a different feel to it when knitting doesn't it ? I am sure it will be appreciated! xErmutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Closer pic of the garnet Fizz. It`s not the eyelash type in the pattern someone posted, that looked more like funky fur.
This looks more like feathery stuff.

thanks everyone for your sightings, have found the one i think is the closest. only problem is i dont know if i would get away with just one cone, 2 make it a bit more expensive but still best i have found so far! take a look see what you all think?

didnt find what i was looking for in the colour i wanted but they had some great bargains so couldnt help myself. they all arrived 2 days after placing order and am very pleased. one particular bargain was a 10 pack 50g sirdar foxy in a badger colour which i was not sure about, but it is a black and gold, would look lovely as a bolero and all for £2 for whole pack, obviously that was not all i bought0
