            Hi There
I write and illustrate children's books (the illustrations are knitted, then photographed). If anyone would like to see them PM me and I will send you the web address.
I noticed another author posted in the grabbit section, I thought you weren't allowed to promote your self on this site. Anyway I'll keep on the safe side, like the site too much to risk getting into trouble.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Hi - I'm just a lurker but wanted to say thanks to Thrifty (back about 3 million posts!!!) I have just knitted a twirly scarf - really easy and looks good. I am now back into knitting and enjoying it. Thanks again
Thanks for posting this and reminding me I wanted to make a Twirly Scarf. Started one last night in some Arran I had, and it's looking good already :j

Thank you Spider. Your instructions are excellent and the diagrams in the link very clear as well. I have managed to graft the toe of socks with Kitchener stitch but I have to follow instructions quite carefully - I can't seem to get the process into my head and do it automatically.
I'm planning to sew up a cushion cover this evening so I shall give the matress stitch another try

I am currently knitting lots of socks and a lace wrap for my mother-in-law so I will post pics when done.
Love your projects Spider. Fantastic cables and the last one - the grey one is very unusual. Did you follow a pattern or did you make it up yourself?

I just had a look at Mothership's website (see post 4245) showing the books that use knitted characters for illustrations, I think it's a brilliant idea, but I can foresee mums and grans everywhere being nagged to knit them (maybe mothership should also publish the patterns?)
Anyway I can't see there would be any problem with me posting the linky, so here it is.Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
It was knitting this romper suit for Traction Man (DD asked me) that got me back to knitting again. Someone on here kindly pointed me to a site that has patterns loads of Abba costumes for Barbie & Action Man so I just adapted one of the jumpsuits (WITHOUT the flares:rotfl:).0
