HI, I'm having a serious destash, as my stash is threatening to take over the house! I'd like it to benefit a good cause, so if there are any charity knitters amongst you, can you PM me as I may well have something you can use. Cheers

I am looking for a hat pattern the hat I have seen is similar to the peruvian hat but has a scarf attached. I did see a hat for sale in Primark but it was black and I want a brighter colour. I decided to buy the Primark one as I could not find another one but they had none left. I do knit but can't find a pattern.
  • Found it - at last!

These are great for just sitting around, in wellies or as bedsocks. Not so good for wearing with shoes. They would be ideal for toddlers as it doesn't matter how they put them on because there's no fixed heel.

Can't wait to get some wool and try this pattern.

Hi Dreamy, what a generous offer.

May I suggest you post on the Knit a Square thread here, this is the home of the charity knitters and I'm sure there will be lots of people who would be very grateful.

ETA - just reading through that thread and found you've already done it. Sorry!
Oh dear, here we go again.

Can I ask what is probably a very stupid question please?

I'm trying a more complicated cable pattern and seem to have a problem.
All the even rows just say K all Kst and P all Pst.

Sounds dead simple, but I have gone wrong in places as I find it hard to distinguish when the stitches are 'twisted'
I know that a P stitch has a loop at the bottom and I really have tried hard, but have made some mistakes.
Its soooo annoying as I haven't made any mistakes on the odd number rows where I had instructions to follow.

Any advice that may help me please?

Just unravel the stitch that has gone wrong down to where it was ok then use a crochet hook to 'knit' or 'purl' it back up to the row you're working on.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
