    Hello

Just spotted this knitting thread on mse and hope you don't mind me cross posting from a friend of mine who is trying to get as many people to knit little coats for dogs in the pound to keep them warm this winter.

Thank you for any help you can offer -

With winter fast approaching some of the poundies will be grateful of a nice warm coat to wear to keep them warm on their walks or a jumper if they're small/skinny.

If anyone has any that they would be happy to donate we all have a mixed size of dogs coming through and not always in the best condition.

Birch Hill kennels have just done a plea for bedding for the large amount of poundies they have taken in lately.

If anyone can help with coats/jumpers please message me for my address/contact details my e-mail is bernicalladine@btinternet.com or my number is 07999546593

Hi, you might want to post this on the 'Knit a Square' thread, also on old style....the purpose of that thread is discussion of charity knitting, whereas we talk more about own/present knitting on here!
HTH....I will go on there and tell them about your post though (and there are many who frequent both threads too!) x

    Good Morning Everyone

I keep forgetting about this thread, then when I remember there's so much to catch up on!

Is there anywhere on here that just has pictures of the things that everyone has knitted, or is it just a case of scrolling through all the pages? I'd love to be able to look at pictures of everyone's makes?

At the moment, I'm wanting to do a nice long jumper for my DD, who's 14, but the wool seems to cost a fortune - do you all get bargain wool from somewhere or what? lol

It is mainly a case of scrolling through, as far as I know!
As for wool, sometimes I buy more expensive stuff if I really like it/have some treat money left (lol) but often people will get stuff cheap from places like Kemps (google it) and also I use ebay quite a bit and charity shops sometimes. Lots of patterns free online too, but I also buy them too.

There are quite a few of us on Ravelry, and there's a MSE group over there - if you look at the "Activity" tab of the group, you'll see pics of lots of things the group-members have been making.

    Link for group: http://www.ravelry.com/groups/mse-ravelry

If you're not on Ravelry - why not? It's free and fantastic! :-)

I knit myself a new hat at the weekend, it does pull down further over my ears than in the picture but I just took a quick snap in my lunchbreak so I could show my on-line knitting buddies :D
