I really hope there's some of that sock yarn in the Swindon store, I'll be stocking up if so and everyone will be getting socks for Christmas! It's a fantastic price, it would work out at only about £2 for a pair of socks.0

If Swindon hasn't got any, angeltreats, the store in Devizes might :-)A work in progress0

Well we are picking up a new (to us!) car tomorrow and that would be a nice excuse for a wee drive to try it out
I've been wanting to visit there since we moved to Wiltshire, I hear it's lovely.
I WILL have some cheap sock yarn, I will I will.0 -
angeltreats Wiltshire is a beautiful place. We moved here from Bath nearly 13yrs ago. I am in Calne, and we have a lovely little wool shop here. Wool not over cheap, though she does have discontinued stuff on offer. Devisizes is very pretty, Liddls is just on the outside as you go into Devizes from the Swindon side. Hope you get the sock yarn you want :-)A work in progress0

Hi, a few weeks I posted here as I had problems with the button bands on cardigans not sitting properly and was advised to block the garment. Just to let you all know that I have just finished an aran edge to edge waistcoat for mum's christmas and after blocking it is absolutely perfect.
I was at the hobbycraft exhib in Glasgow yesterday and came home laden with wool, as if I didn't have enough already!!!
I am knitting some more scarves for xmas presents and will then start on a Sirdar crofter cardigan for myself, I cannot believe how it looks like shetland without all the hard work - has anyone else knitted with this, is it as easy as it looks?
I always feel so motivated after visiting the hobbycraft exhib and cant wait to get the xmas presents finished.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

I always feel poor after a visit to Hobbycraft lol. Last time I went, I bought some wool that came to £20. Had my hubbie with me, who wasn't that impressed. He muttered something along the lines, couldn't you buy yourself something cheaper somewhere else ??? I did say that I would never be able to buy a hand knitted garment anywhere for £20 :-) Bless him. He very nicely continiued to the check out without another word lolA work in progress0

I got some!
There was loads in Swindon, I got four packs of sock yarn. That's eight pairs of socks, plus some left over for baby booties for my pregnant friend. DH didn't even bat an eyelid, think he realises how much sock yarn normally costs (plus he's a big fan of hand knitted socks and hopes some of it might be for him).

I got lots of the sock yarn too, it'd really nice!
About 2/3 of the way through a baby suprise jacket using the cream- lovely (I actually got cream thinking I'd dye it, but it is going to be nice on it's own for bnaby stuff)0
