Miss Kool and Catwoman Kent, you obviously get the Lets Knit magazine. I thought about getting this after a friend gave me her copy but we both nearly had to be picked up off the floor when we saw how much it cost a month (she didn't realise the cost til she got to the checkout). I see they have a website and their subscription takes about £1.00 off a copy but they are also doing 3 copies for £3.00. It says after the price something about the money being taken quarterly (now just looked at their website to double check the details and it's now gone up to £11.25  ).
I guess what I now need to ask is, is it worth subscribing to, money wise I mean, or am I better off just buying patterns as and when I want them? I do want to try and knit more and am just about to start my next project (hubby picked wool up from Post Office today).
I am very much a newbie (I can just about hold the needles and knit) so the magazines are helpful for ideas and patterns.
I do source lots of patterns from Ravelry (there's lots of pictures so it's more helpful)
and i did the £1 for 3 offer for let's knit. I may not continue it after 3 months.0 -

Oh golly, it's me again
Have finished DH jumper (with help from the kind bods here) and have sewn it up. It all looks pretty good - wait for it, it's coming - except for where I have attached the sleeves to the shoulders where it looks like a dogs breakfast and there is a wierd 80s star trek effect going on with the shoulder bits sticking out sort of over the sleeves. Does anyone have any tips or hints for attaching sleeves to the shoulders? Would anyone advise tacking them into place with different coloured wool for example? I'm hoping to work up to resewing them tomorrow....If I can't sort it out I'll be doomed to scarves forever!
DH was very kind, bless him.0 -
