Hi everyone
Just wanted to say big thanks for free pattern sites. Will definitely be doing some shawls me thinks. Keep knitting!I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0 -

I only started knitting again a couple of months ago and have so far made a cushion cover, four handbags and a big chunky jacket that I finished last night. Even sewed it together! Tried it on (over my pj's) and it was a perfect fit. Knitted a tension square for my next project which I will start on the train journey to Manchester at the weekend.
Where abouts in Kent are you?
I'm in Rainham in Kent - are you a nieghbour?
A friend on the train liked my cardi yesterday so i said I'd knit her one and charge her £10 plus the cost of the wool (10.50) It's a very long cardigan and she seemed very pleased with that.0 -

Not sure how many know this (or I'm preaching to the converted) but https://www.ravelry.com is great. It's a website dedicated to knitting and crotcheting with pictures, patterns and ideas.
The website is currently invite only and it took me about 2-3 days to get my invite but you can organise your whole stash, your patterns, your needles and ogle lots of pictures.0 -
Love knitting, in fact i'm a total addict, but I hate sewing it together!0

Thank for the links to the cheap wool sites.
Have been lurking for a while lets knit have an offer on for 3 issues for £3 which you can cancel any time - normal RRP would be £14.97
you can subscribe here they also have a few free patterns on the site that you can look at once you register.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
