I wouldnt want to put them in with any babies of mine and give them nightmares!!

I have just knitted DS a hat and have completly caught the knitting bug (I'm so proud of myself!) so far all I have is a pair of 8 and 9 needles and two balls of double knit wool! Dont want to (plus can't afford) spend loads of equipment all at once so just wondering what people think are most essential and versatile.
quite fancied doing a top next, found a nice (free pattern) but it said it needed really epensive wool and all sorts of round needles. are these worth investing in?
I was surprised how much knitting needles cost when I looked recently.
Have you tried your local charity shop? One near me sells needles for 50p a pair and patterns for 20p
HTHOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hi just wondering if anyone had any views of bamboo versus aluminium knitting needles. Bamboo seem to be a lot cheaper but I have never used any before so wondering if they are okay. thanks x0
