This is really interesting! I'm going to buy a lottery ticket for Saturday and put it in the south east corner of our south east room (the spare bedroom) with a pound coin on the top. If I can find jade/money tree before Saturday, I'll put that there too. I'll let you all know whether it works!0

I got my jade plant from tesco after searching a large garden centre and being unable to find one!0

Donna
Well done Donna, apparently it's better to get your money plant as a gift from a friend than to buy it. I can't remember if I read this on this thread or elsewhere :snow_grin0 -
I have a little laughing Buddha, does anyone know the best place to put him? Is facing my front door ok?

I stuck my little budha in my plant pot,the plant died0

As far as I know a Buddha can go anywhere that's respectful, ie not on the floor, he has to be in pride of place, rub his tum for luck but never pat his head that's really unlucky.0

I bought a lovely laughing buddha in Los Angeles earlier this year, he came with a little stand and a book with lots of info about him. It appears you find the area of your life that needs most improvement and then put him in the appropriate area of your home. career prospects north. mentors & networking northwest. children west. marriage and romance southwest. recognition and fame south. wealth and prosperity southeast. family and health east. education and knowledge northeast. It also says never place a statue of a laughing buddha directly on the floor. Out of respect, he should be elevated or cushioned in some way.0

Can you have more than one buddha? - if you're looking for improvement in more than one area?0

rafi I have just read my little book that came with my buddha. Mine is a laughing buddha, it appears there are all sorts of laughing ones and they hold different items in their hands and some have their hands raised above their head. They are made in different colours and different materials which all represent different things. It says sets of laughing buddhas may be displayed together or separately.0

Got a money plant leaf - a friend went into a takeaway shop and saw on in there - asked the staff if I could take a leaf and they said no problems.
Got home and planted the leaf in some soil - same day I brought some old coins (Chinsese sp?) and planted 1 in the pot with a £1 coin and 3 of the chinsese coins on the top
So Far made since the planting:
£140 from tescos cus of their little mix up
£110 from petrol money to come back
£400+ from overtime after TAX + NI
£100 from ebay sales
All since planting my little friend
Now off to check the lottery
Edit: Groan - got to work for another week :snow_laug0
