Thanks, might go take a look.

Doea anyone have any other feng shui tips that I could use. Simple things if possible. :)

Some tips from one of my books…

    The front garden

A meandering path is better than a straight one. A round planter on either side of the door will conduct healthy chi into the house (use evergreen flowering plants). Keep the front door clean and well lit. Place a pair of stone lions, dogs or similar on either side of your driveway. A solid front door is better than one with glass.

    Hallway

Make sure that it is light, uncluttered and welcoming.

    Sitting room

Get a cabinet for the television so that you can shut the doors on it when not in use (according to feng shui the radiated energy is very bad for you). Wood is best for a coffee table, either round or oval shaped. Keep shelving as low as possible. Do not position your seating with the back toward the doorway. An adult should use the seat with the best view of the door and window.

    Kitchen

Replace shelves with cupboards. Keep all surfaces clear and cupboard doors closed. Do not put your cooker next to the fridge or sink. Use matching crockery. Do not place a mirror so that it reflects the cooker.

    Dining room

Hang a large mirror to reflect the dining table. Round or oval tables are best.

    Main Bedroom

The best place for the bed is diagonally opposite the bedroom door with the headboard against the wall. Never place a mirror so that it reflects the bed. A few red items encourage romance. Don’t put pictures of your children in your bedroom. If you have a television keep it in a cupboard or get a cover for it. Keep the doorway and under the bed clear.

    Bathroom

Keep the toilet lid and the bathroom door shut. Don’t put plants in the bathroom.

Wind Chimes are a wonderful feng shui "sound cure" - useful both inside and outside your home and business. They are great for stimulating new energy, ridding your life of stagnation and obsticles, and attracting opportunity.

Wind chimes can be manually caused to ring as you pass by, as a sort of "instant chi charge" whenever you feel the need. Have fun with your chimes, let them help you remember to be more playful in your everyday life -- and be alert for new and wonderful changes to come your way.
Edit: If you do a search on "feng shui"+chimes (exactly as written) you'll find a number of sources for chimes along with some glowing miss spelled recommendations :)

    hello everyone,

after reading this thread, i moved my money tree which i have had for about 1 half years, i moved it to the south east corner on top of a pine dresser in the dining room, that was on wednesday. On friday at my new placement i had a lucky break, the trainer signed all my compentices for the year!! this means i don't have to worry now as it does;nt have to be in till sept, but what a relief. then on saturday night hubby who works extra on the nights had a wedding disco to do, he did really well and almost doubled his normal take home pay!!! i am dead impressed. i swear it must be cos i have that money tree..??

has anyone else found a change in fortune ???

My front and back door are in a straight line with no closing door in the middle.

I remember reading a long while ago that this is bad as it can let money come straight in the front and then straight out the back again.

I also read that if you put chimes somewhere in between this can stop the bad effects of having the doors in a straight line.

Any one got any views on this?

Kantanarus. yes i have read that u place chimes in the hall, so that the energy doesn't rush straight through and out of the back door. the thoery is that the chimes help the positive energy to disperse in the house throughout the rooms. i remember reading this in a feng shui book

I picked up a book today at the boot sale, and you do need to place chimes for this position, (or if like me your door opens onto the stairs). They need to jangle when the door opens and they need to be hollow for the chi to get into them.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.
