Our money tree is outside enjoying the weather as well.
Keep forgetting to tie a red ribbon round the pot and to bury a couple of coins."This site is addictive!"

Now, either Feng Shui is a very confusing practise or it's a load of nonsense.
I really don't know how anyone can take it seriously.0 -
I still don't care......'cos I've got a lovely little money plant and a nice new book.

I love my new money plants and I am sure they will bring me good fortune. The key to anything working is to have belief in it. The Power Of Positive thinking has long been researched and has been proven to work. The brain is very powerful, the mind a tool to be utilised to our advantage. To have no belief is sad, for if you have no faith in anything, what is the point?~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0

It was nice bit of fun and now people are starting to get a little bit funny and shirty about it.
If you don't like the ideas of what being is being said who said you had to follow them. No one so leave the people alone who wanted to buy a money/jade plant etc.
I don't remember anyone said that they are putting there faith in to feng shui to bring them untold riches.
If tidying up and getting rid of clutter helps you focus on other things like your finances and getting them order then that is all for the good.
I for one have had a jade plant since I was about 15 years old. Reason because they are easy to look after and I like catcus as well. Has it brought be good luck in finances. The truth I don't know. But I am comfortable off and not on skid row.
I think we will agree to disagree on this.
Sorry but a few posters in this thread have really got my goat. I know this public forum but we are having a bit of FUN. Sounds like you don't know what it is and need to lighten up a bit.
Yours
Calley
Well said Calley"!
Well it's the same as usual, isn't it? Someone comes up with an idea/ a belief/ an action they've taken and others feel they have the right to tell them how wrong they are and how they should live their life.
Ok, I'm a good person. I don't hurt anyone. I'm kind to people. I give to charity. I try to be understanding and tolerant.
If I choose to buy a money plant, to de-clutter my house, to paint my wall a certain colour, to have fish in a round tank (actually mine are in a large rectangular tank) that is my choice.
Why do I have to be judged? Why is everything to be taken seriously? It's like being back at primary school and being told what to do by teacher!
And we're talking about Feng Shui here! not black magic! We're not sacrificing chickens! just buying ribbons and tidying up!0 -
I agree with you Faith but I think that because the title of my thread - Feng Shui....am I nuts? invited comments so there were lots, not all supportive but it's a discussion so that's OK
I think that we've all had a bit of fun with this and think how many tidy rooms and bags for the charity shops there are this weekend, and the plant suppliers will have noticed a huge jump in their takings - who says it doesn't work? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I love this thread and love the subject. It has prompted me to go and buy a Money Tree today - for a whopping £2.49 wow!! I was robbed...NOT. I even went to the library and got a great big book all about feng shui. I have the compass and red ribbon already. Can't think of a single reason why I shouldn't do what I want to do in my own home...in fact I can't wait to get stuck in! Anybody with any more tips and hints keep them coming - likewise anything my book says which resonates with me I'll post here.
Keep this thread going, it's great - and I don't give a t*ss if anybody thinks I am bonkers for buying a flipping plant!!0 -
I have a passing interest in the subject!! My desk at work is in a truly awful positon. I have a hole in the "Fortunate Blessings" area where cables are supposed to be fed through. I have my back to the door, there are rafters cutting across.. all in all a Feng Shui disaster area.
Anyway to get to the point, a couple of weeks ago I blocked up the hole with paper and placed a money plant over it. Purely coincidently I am sure, I was asked if I would be prepared to be put forward to head up a new company venture which if all goes well will be very much to my advantage :j0 -
Apprenticetycoon, you are a more patient person than I am! (but I'm a teacher so I use all my patience with my students!!!
)
Since I've started this thread I've got my Feng Shui book out of the bookcase, dusted it and had great fun re-reading it!
And my home is so tidy it make me feel like :dance:0
