NO MORE EXCUSES - My BR Diary

  • Good news! Have spent an entire morning running around after inconsistent incompetent numpties at Abbey - hooray! Was wondering what to do today.

I wanted to get ex off of the account so he took morning off and we went to branch near me as advised, only to be told that drivers license is not ID. Yes - you heard it. So he had to go to his Mand Ds and I went home to get other acceptable proof and went back in the pouring rain, only to THEN be told it could take several weeks (new policy).

So if this account gets frozen, my ex wont be able to book tickets for sons birthday this weekend and once again (all together now) It will all be my fault and I will be the hated parent of the century AGAIN.

I am shattered and house is a complete tip. My "friend2 that is supposed to be going with me tomorrow has said "Will it take long - she wants to get her nails done". Well yes - actually it will probably take hours.

I just want it over now.
  • Oh what a day.

Have just told my Dad I am going BR tomorrow and he just screamed his head off and told me what a disappointment I am, that I chose the wrong husband and my selfish behaviour is ruining my kids life.

It started off with him telling me to go there tomorrow and he knew someone that could get me some really good part time work to fit in with the kids. obviously. am going bR tomorrow so told him i couldnt and the reason why.

Am clearly the lowest of the low.

    It's just a generation thing NME,:D

You'd probably have fainted if he'd been sympathetic, and offered to take you to Court.

Grandparents alway know best when it comes to how their children should be bringing their grandchildren up; just one of those things.

"Your parents spoil the first half of your life; your children the second".:confused:

If you're the lowest of the low, then you're in good company here.:D :D
  • NME i'm so sorry you have had a bad day i'm a disapointment to my parents too try not to let his reaction hurt to much & you are certainly NOT the low of the low, well if you are then i must be too!

  • You are not a failure to you or your kids, so dont be silly.

My Dad was really quite pleased when I told him I was advised to BR- it was my mum that went very quiet and sullen, I really think she feels ashamed and Is dreading my name going in the paper, its written on her face, Ok I let them down and myself down, but the way I see it now is that the little two or 3 line entry in the paper is a way of saying " look I made a mistake and now Ive done something about it so there".

Pick yourself up hun, Dont let anyone else drag you down, Its your life,If going BR is gonna make it better for you and your family then do it regardless of what anyone else thinks.

You have got oodddddlllleeesss of support here.

    Good luck

(((((((((((hugs)))))))))) NME. You are not a failure, you made some mistakes and now you are taking those mistakes by the scruff of the neck and giving them a good shake and telling them where to go. You are not the only person in the world to do this and you won't be the last. TJ posted on another thread that there will be 11,000 people a MONTH going BR.

I'll find the famous bankrupts thread for you to then you can say "If it's good enough foe blah, blah, then it's good enough for me!"
