Me, Tuesday 5th, my local court operate a walk in service, so I am going straight after dropping kids at school, Via the banks to empty out my benefits and straight round to the court for about 9.30 for a 10am start.
Already got my OR Fee (courtesy of my folks (thanks Ma & PA) and my exemption fee form sorted, so all I need is some pennies for the drinks machine, ciggies and Bus fare . Then after I'm going to the CO-OP to open bank account, pay my usual Tuesday bills, rent,Utilities,Fines etc.. and going home to look forward to Starting a fresh.
One thing Ive thought about is getting a little plant or bush or something and planting it to remind you of the fresh start you have made, and watching it grow..- Im Carp at gardening- so its my new challenge.BSC Member #97- Discharged 4/2/09

I still remember the look on the clerks face when she asked me for the fees and I asked if a cheque would be ok:eek:
It was only when she saw that I had a huge grin on my face that she started laughing and said " I'm afraid not it has to be cash "
I've still got no idea why I said it, it just felt like the thing to say at the time
:rotfl: :rotfl:
although I'd say it was probably nerves that got the better of me and my mouth wasn't being controlled by my brain
Ps Good luck for the big day nme you'll be on here afterwards telling us all how glad you are that it's done.I had debts, my circumstances changed, I tried but couldn't pay them, I dealt with them in the best way I could.........

I have just contacted the court and it definately is Croydon. You have to be there by 9.55am and the clerk calls you just after 10 to check your paperwork and take the fees. You then see the judge and the OR will call you within 5 working days. She also said I will be there until 1.30 at the very least!
I have just spoken to ex about his bloody parking fines on my car and he said he will sort them today, so they need to come off of my SOA.
I am gobsmacked about Wobblebottom, I am so scared it is untrue.
Right off to therapy now - back later

Right! Fermi has told me to keep the fines on, I have to tell OR about all debts.
I have another question. my ex and I have a joint account with Abbey that I no longer use. This weekend we were supposed to go into the bank to get my name taken off, but we had another mud slinger instead. He has said he will meet me tomorrow morning and get my name taken off. If I am going BR the following day will this account get frozen? Its our sons birthday this coming weekend and my ex is taking all the kids to the cinema on Sunday, but will he still be able to use the card that he has booked the tickets with?0 -
NME I took my name off our joint abbey acc on the sat and went bc monday the account was never touched. The cashier did say she had done it there and then Don't forget to take some ID with both of you.DalipFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Thanks dalip - excellent advice!0

It will help if you tell them why you are taking your name off and when, just so they can do it there and then. You still have to tell the OR but he should have no interest in it unless it's got thousands in it!DalipFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

My brain is fried, the kids are driving me crazy and I am stressed to my back teeth.
Would you all mind if I just vent a bit?
