  • Hi, Jak  I have an Easiyo from Freecycle, but I've never bought any of the mixes. I follow the UHT milk and natural yogurt recipe on the thread that magentasue and thriftlady quote ;)

I'll add this thread to that one to keep ideas together :D

I apologise in advance if anyone's mentioned this before - I just read a blog entry about making yoghurt in your slow cooker http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2008/10/you-can-make-yogurt-in-your-crockpot.html

haven't tried it as I use the easiyo with the recipe from here, but might be of use to someone maybe?

    Hi.
I wonder if anyone can advise me what is going wrong with my yogurt. I use the easy yo equipment but use semi skimmed UHT, dried milk and culture (bio yogurt) the yogurt was lovely and thick when I first made it but the last few times it has been really runny.
    Any advise gratefully accepted.
    Thanks

;) Hi,julian graves will be having one on offer next week ;) xx
  • I have an Easiyo. I don't use the sachets of mix, just UHT milk and yoghurt starter. I love it and we have a constant supply of yoghurt.

I'll add this to the existing Easiyo thread to keep ideas together ;)

  • years ago, in teh sixties and seventies when we were all making our own yoghurt, we used a vacuum flask!! a bit of live yoghurt for the starter, heat the milk, mix and pop into the vacuum flask. hey presto, yoghurt.xx
