Unless I'm using fresh fruit, I just add frozen fruit (usually raspberries, sometimes summer fruits etc.) and jam or fruit syrup. I don't defrost I just put it in. If it's first thing in the morning it is defrosted by lunch time.
Other times I'll add chopped hazelnuts and honey, or even peanut butter. Of course fresh strawberries are lovely too.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -

My husband was given an easiyo maker for his birthday, but guess who's been using it?
I used the sachet of strawberry mix that came with the maker and that was good. I also made a couple of greek yogurt sachets that were given to him with the maker and they were very good.
I then ordered some mixes from wahlshop (as they allowed you to order a mixed selection) and have just made the raspberry - disaster! It's still very runny after 8 hours.
Should I leave it in the maker longer and see if it sets, drink it as drinking yogurt, or throw it away and start again?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

I bought an Easiyo 'collection' a couple of years ago, but dilly-dallied until everything went out of date so threw it away. I've just bought Simply Yoghurt from Ideal World, it was on special offer, I got 10 rasberry flavour. It's virtually the same as Easiyo, but British.
Any road up, I made up my raspberry yoghurt mix at one o'clock in the morning, thinking I'd refrigerate it at 8am - but I forgot all about it until 5.30pm *eek*. Undaunted, I put it in the fridge and tried some after a couple of hours: it was almost like blancmange and lovely (mild flavoured, but hey! it's natural). I've eaten nearly all of it in 2 days and have come here looking for cheap suppliers (of which there are none, you just gotta be prepared to pay!).

I have been using EasiYo for years now, and have used the Simply Yoghurt sachets in the maker with great results. I can't eat in the mornings, so breakfast for me is a smoothie made with freshly juiced fruit juice mixed with greek yoghurt. Makes up around a half pint of smoothie.
I have never had any problems with the sachets, so suspect the problems people have been having is a bad batch.
Will try the home-made recipe tonight though as the sachets are a bit expensive. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the restraints0 -

I have just bought an easio=yo yogurt maker. I got a pack of culture in it and make some lovely yogurt, however, each pack costs £2.49! For 1 kg of yogurt! Where can I get yogurt culture for cheaper? Help! Is there any other way to make it that doesn't involve loads of money?
Any help appreciated!

Get any live natural yogurt and use half a small carton with a litre of long life milk. Easy!

Hi Jak, I don't use the Easiyo system but I think it works the same way as ordinary yogurt making does. You use a couple of tbsps of your hm yogurt to start the next batch. So you only have to buy the starter or culture once.
There is a thread all about Easiyo -I'll have a rummage
