We had a sharp snow shower a short while ago, it went very black and I thought we were really in for it, but nothing its all gone away...........

I have just managed to put the wrong blooming plate on the stove, our fish is nearly done and the spuds are stome cold.....I hate this stove with a vengance, I keep saying I will buy my own, but cannot find what I want in the right size, we only have a 50cm gap. I would like a double oven with a ceramic hob at a reasonable price................

I have the binding to hand sew onto the last 2 table mats so will do it tonight, also did some free hand quilting on a cushion top with Santa Claus on.......I did think about making it into a bag, but changed my mind, will just make it up as a cushion cover. Also had a sort out and put three lengths of fabric on ebay...........I will never use them, so someone else might as well have the benefit, if they don't sell I will take them to the charity shop.

Just consoling myself with a glass of very nice white wine, I have ordered some stuff from lakeland, got £10 discount, thanks PP.............£50 + for £40........

Right off to see what I can do with my c****y dinner, fish, mash, garden peas and mustard sauce, bread and butter pudding made with milk eggs honey and cream, plus a slosh of whisky ..sssssssshhhhhhhhh.........have cut the spuds into little bits in the hope they will cook quicker.

    Good afternoon/evening:hello:

Lovely to see you post Haribo:D Glad things went OK. Now you rest up while you can. (have you turned the heating off so Pink rushes around even quicker:rotfl: :rotfl: )

Well it's been beautiful most of the day in London, but is blooming freezing now. Still mustn't grumble, no rain or snow so far.

I've made twinks, anzacs (couldn't bear the thought of upsetting either of them:rolleyes: ) fruit, and lemon cake, so the biscuit/ cake tins are bursting. Probably last for ..... about 5 minutes once the hordes find them.
Will take some over to the DGSs tomorrow, we're babysitting while DS and DIL kick their heels up. I really must try that impossible pie recipe of Aussie's, it sounds lovely.

stefejb, glad your purse was at work, what a relief:T

Welcome to all the new posters:D

HH what a lovely baby, a proper "armful". She's gorgeous:D

Need to go see to some dinner, back later.

Hugs to anyone else who needs one.

Haribo- welcome home, get those feet up!

    Welcome to our new posters.

spent two hours digging the allotment today, it was very cold, windy and sunny. Within 10 minutes I was sweating. Need to get on to the council on Monday as there is loads of rubbish on my bit of the allotment that needs clearing.

managed to get my washing dry outside. Took DS to a local pub to meet up with friends after school as they have a free play area.

Am so tired again. Looking forward to a lie-in tomorrow:D .

    Have a good night all

    Oh Dear

Bad day at work! TGIF! Earlier this week kitchen guy said end of April before he could start! Today, he reckons he can maybe do main kitchen late February/early March; then come back for flooring - fine; then come back and do the doors - fine; then the decorator again - fine. Yes spreading this thing out but, well I know I am going to get a good job at a good price. I just hate the muddle over at least 3 months.

Am going to have to give up a cupboard for a built in microwave as I really want a double oven and can't afford to give up worktop for a stand-alone micro! However, putting my Royal Doulton dinner service up the loft (only used it such a handfull of times over our married life - 35 years!) - so I have freed up space elsewhere for the essentials. Have never liked the pattern and I am sure it would sell well on eBay!

Had steamed fish with poached egg, pots and broccoli tonight - lovely. DH goes and gets the reject fish from the fish shop and great in the steamer!

Hope Haribo and Pink doing OK and not fighting! Haribo do take care. Pink - murder her if necessary! PenPin - hope you are OK. HH - so sorry to hear about what should have been a wonderful going home yesterday. Hope family doing well Where have you been Aussie?

Hope all is OK with Kyle and Twink up north. Weather down here awful but no snow.

Out for a meal with friends tomorrow. They are coming to pick up but have booked us a taxi home!

Love and hugs to all, especially anyone new to our thread. Happy birthday and good party to Neav!
