    morning again,

House is now all ship shape, well till the others get home any way, have scrubbed the kitchen to within an inch of its life, hoovered through whole house, mopped floors, hung two loads of washing out, its blowing well today, but will keep an eye on it incase it snows (fingers crossed ), went into DD's room and came straight back out again, its a pit, what is it with children and men not being able to pick up after themselves ? most of my cleaning is just picking up their things, will have words tonight ;)

welcome to mk wotsit, i like the sound of geocaching, will have a look at the website in a moment, we do a lot of walking which we love, but it would make it more exciting if we had something to aim for. x

welcome also to danksshady good luck with your kitchen x

    Good morning everyone,

    Happy Birthday N9eav balloons.gif

It's still very windy here, and we're just down the coast from the ship that is beached off Blackpool. As it was the last thing I saw on the news before I went to bed, I spent a fair bit of time worrying about the people on board, and of course all of the brave people involved in rescuing them. Thankfully the news this morning says that they were all rescued safely.

More washing to be done today, and still no chance of hanging it out on the line as this would definately mean sharing it with all of our neighbours.

DS is currently refusing to leave the house as he hates wind (well he is only small).

    Take care all of you!

    Morning everyone

My what a cold windy day it is today!
The sun is also shining brightly so everything seems nicer than usual,
N9eav- have a lovely Birthday :bdaycake:

Welcome Danksshady & mk wotsit :hello:

I`m not working today so i`m going to have a good swish around and then later this afternoon i`ll be in the kitchen making a batch of twinks hobnobs, hope they turn out ok, if i`m baking once everythings in the oven i tend to leave it too long and burn things, i think thats why i love my sc so much :D

DH has just gone out to brave the weather with the hounds so i`ll take the opportunity to hoover the living room unhindered.
    Have a great Friday everyone.

  • just nipped to get this weeks money and nipped in sains local to see if they were giving anything away. They must have over stocked on free range eggs they have loads sell by today BUT use by 8th feb all reduced from £1.39 to 89p for 1/2 dozen. i've brought a doz but might nip back down after 3pm that when they reduce again (DD used to work there;) )

cheese pudding for tea now i think that will use up some of my breadcrumb stash as well as a few eggs.

Lads have a club so they will eat earlier than us, ive already got them sorted

    Hello everyone!

It's glorious and sunny here in London (although cold) but blue skies!

Happy Birthday N9eav - hope the party goes well!!!:D

Not much happening here this morning, just waiting to see if DH will be back in time for me to go for lunch with a friend. My sister's lights blew out last nite, so he's gone to see if he can fix it.

Haven't taken the fryer out of the box yet - hope its not gonna be just another gadget sitting in the cupboard!:o :rotfl:

Mioliere- ment to ask you the other day could I have that almond slice recipe and the impossible pie?

    Morning all:D

Freezing cold here today but lovely and bright, I love these kind of days it makes me feel so much better seeing a little sun about.:j
Working from home today so I have been busy shifting paperwork from one side of the desk to another  Hvae booked a Mr T delivery this morning for tomorrow morning and have just checked my bank:eek: Lack of funds alert:eek:  I think I will have to chat up OH tonight to see if he can lend me a few quid til payday:rolleyes: :o
Spoke to my mum via text she is just about on her way to NZ now flying out of Sydney for 3 weeks then she goes back to Perth then Singapore then home on 30th March, I speak to Mum everyday when she is in the Uk so I am missing her, she has been away since boxing day, I suppose that's what retirement is all about:D
OH and I have been looking at a Blendtec machine for him to make frappes and smoothies in as the weather gets a bit better people will rather have the option of a chilled drink other than coffee (he is a barista) the machine is about £1000 in the UK but FIL lives in Florida and they are half price there so we have sent him on a mission to go and get one for us and ship it back here, so a little money saving there;) I have made it clear to OH I won't be standing up all night washing and peeling fruit for the next days work unless I get paid for it;) (one strawberry for the tub one for me)
I have rambled on this morning havent I :o
    Happy Birthday N9eve:beer:

Hope everyone is well and has a good day x

    Good afternon all.

Well, its still blowing a gale up here. The next door neighbours had trellis and window box style planters up on the low wall between us (wall is knee height, and trellis etc took it to over head height for a bit of privacy) and its now in pieces all over their back yard. It was put up by the last owners, so I guess it will give them chance to personalise their space now.

Bins etc are still blowing around - the front garden is covered in paper from the house across the road. She won't offer to tidy up though, so we'll have to do it.

I'm off up to my parents shortly, spending a couple of nights with them. They live in a small village in the 'dales proper' so am hoping we don't get snowed in or anything daft like that. I have a training day to present on Monday, so need to be able to get there!

DH is going through the freezer and cupboards this weekend to see what we have, and do a meal plan. We're seriously skint this month (i got paid on the 20th, and am over my overdraft limits on both accounts already) so we really need to cut down on any expense. That means not spending on food until we are absolutely desperate. Wish us luck...

Right, off in a moment, so have a good weekend guys, and don't get blown about too much.
