Hi all  not been around for the past few days so only just caught up on the threads. Hugs to all that need them; hope you enjoy your pampering day Hilstep, you really do deserve some peace and time for yourself. Happy birthday N9eav!

I've had an awful week. On monday, I was walking home from work quite late and was followed by a guy who then jumped out on me - I just ran for it, so managed to get away unscathed - in a way I'm gald it was me who can run and get away rather than someone who couldn't. It scared me quite a bit and I have had trouble concentrating over the past few days and I'm getting nervous going outside. The police have ben great though.

On top of all that OH's divorce is dragging on, only now his ex is wanting mediation. There are no kids, property or assests involved in this (he has all the debt too - some 14K due to her predicliction for expensive handbags). She wants money, which he simply doesn't have, and has been refusing to sign the papers for nearly a year now or file her own cross-petition (unless OH pays), despite her solictors advice - she wants a fully contested hearing or for him to withdraw and file for two years separation with consent - which we can't do as she has told him already she'll never sign it. He can prove the unreasonable behaviour on her part, so it should have just gone in to the court, but she is dragging her heels all the time and just generally being difficult in drawing it out. It's just really upsetting and what with OH's debt repayments, me being unfunded for a year and having to write cheques each month for the solictor it is finacially crippling.

Sorry for the long post, I just want to cry this morning. :( I hope next week wll be better :)

    Hello everyone :hello:

I'm just about back in the land of the living so I've just popped on to say thankyou so much for all the good wishes you have sent me while I was in hospital. :A

The op went very well apparantly so I shouldn't need another one for a couple of years ;) Unfortunately the muscle disease I have didn't react well to the anaesthetic so my recovery was a bit hairy to begin with. However I did manage to walk the 100 yards to the shop in search of sweeties almost as soon as they took me off oxygen. :D
What Pink failed to mention was that I keeled over when I got back to bed. I see you saw 3 consultants the other day PP.... The closest I came to that was when 3 passing doctors on the ward had to lift me back into bed. :o :rotfl: My wounds are sore and swollen but that should clear up soon and I'm trying to rest.

Here goes the old style bit.....

DW emptied and reloaded, WM on, BM on, floor washed and house dusted from top to bottom.......

    BY PINK-WINGED :rotfl: :j :T  :D

(apparantly she has to keep moving or she'll turn to ice.)  :D

She's not a hardy Highlander like me. ;)

Haven't completely caught up but Happy Birthday N9EAV, congratulation to Granny Hester and Hugs To Celyn.

    Haribo xxx

    Good afternoon everyone,

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY N9EAV

((HUGS)) to all who need one xxx

I havnt really been reading much over the last week, and havnt been posting because ive been feeling a bit down - but my problems are so much less than a lot of people on here, so didnt really want to be having a moan and getting sympathy that i dont really deserve!!

Life is pretty boring at the moment, not much work and no money to do anything so lots of staying home and entering comps!!! Shez, entered one for a tractor on the NFU website just now, and thought of you!!! Its yellow, and a toy, so no probs with parking if i win it - do you think its a sign???

Anyway, hope everyone is well, dlb im guessing you are doing well with the no smoking? Well done you and hope its getting easier now xx

Have a lovely day everyone (no snow here, did have a bit of rain tho)
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

(((((Hugs)))) to you celyn90, what a horrible thing to have happened.
I`ve had two similar things happen to me, one when i was a lot younger and one around three years ago and i can really sympathise with you as i know just how frightening it can be.
It can take a while to get your confidence back and i was very nervous for ages, it does take a while before you can push it to the back of your mind.

One thing which i was told is don`t let it change anything that you do or places that you go, then you will get over it quicker.
I was told this by a workmate and it was the best advice as i found that i was thinking about not going places and finding excuses not to do things.
Hope your confidence hasn`t been knocked too much.

Edited to say Haribo, glad you are home & ok
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
