got 18 at Tesco this evening (mum also got 18), but in our excitement we did not realise that there was the 66p and the 1.25 ones mixed up on the shelf - no probs the CS lady let us take the 9 back between us that were the larger size and let us keep the points !! lovely lady (teeth became a bit gritted when Mum then said we had been overcharged for 4 packs of bacon joint)
  • i order a v large quantity from a Tesco Express becasue my local Tesco won't let me have more than 6.

Will I still get the points at the Express store - I know they are 66p and they did promise me the same points, but you can't alway beleive them

If not will they be able to transfer them to the other store for me??

    thanks

So I have to order AGAIN!

    Not happy bunny.

But I did get my extra 1000 point online after I complained (2 orders in 2 weeks under the value so I moaned about it and the nice lady added my points!)

Make it clear you want the points before you pay. If the points don't show up on the transaction, tell them you no longer want to buy the goods.

I guess you won't be able to transfer the goods between stores as the store which refused to bulk buy obviously doesn't want to sell you a quantity of the beef.
Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
  • Tell me, tell me, what is the deal for these extra 1000 points!!!
  • I m not playing devils advocate niether do i want to take the post off topic but was interested to know who along the chain loses..is it the manufacturers...tescos....or the individual companies who are involved in tescos loyalty scheme? my guess is the individual companies involved in the scheme.....or do we all win? guess who cares but enjoy it while you can! its all good ...if these big blue chip companies (and their share holders ahem) want to share its mass profits with us!
  • I don't care if Birds Eye are the losers, years ago my dad worked on the building site of one of their largest offices, the office staff were fed hot dinners every day, loads and loads of leftover dinners were binned every day, and the building site staff weren't even allowed to buy them! What a waste, and talk about looking down your nose at the "blue collar workers" as my dad was known in those days! So, Bird's Eye, we'll eat your beef for 150 points!!

The extra 1,000 points is on home deliveries with value over a certain amount. IIRC It's £75, if not £50. If you have a quick look you will find the required codes to use.

I thought about ordering lots of beef this way, but it was too much hassle. More often than not they will not have enough beef to fulfil your order, so it will fall below the spend threshold......and then you;ll have to argue for your 1,000 total spend points to be applied.

Who knows? many people state that BOGOFs etc are actually funded by the mfrs. In this particular case I wouldn't expect the captain to be paying out any more than £1.50 per 3 items. Obviously the points can become worth up to £6. I'd expect Mr. Tesco to be paying that as a bit of an oversight. Surely if Tesco said to the captain.....sure, we'll put these on promo and it will cost you 6 quid a time it'd be pretty clear this was not a good business decision.

I got the points but they wouldn't take Joey vouchers - I guess that's fair enough as they are a smaller store. 50 packs of beef for me and 250 for the local homless shelter :j
