    [quote=Penny-Pincher!!;

...you have to top the order to £25, then you can use the voucher code "DW1" then £10 will be deducted. You do get charged postage though, so if you have a Lakeland locally, order £25 of vouchers as you get FREE postage with them(they will cost you £15 total!) and use them in store on whatever you want and theres no expiry code:D ....would make useful gifts too for difficult to find pressies for people;)

Hi PP, just placing an order for gift vouchers now, I can't see anywhere to put the voucher code in, or am I being thick :D

    xx

Opps ignore me found it, just ordered £25 worth of GV for £15, thanks PP xx

    Afternoon........................(((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) if you need one.

Congrats HH on the baby, we had our first great grandchild in November!!!!

Had an early start, workmen came to check my friends roof repair and they are there again now checking the tiles ourside.

Mt friend whose knee op was cancelled this week is going in next Tuesday, I have told her if they try to cancel it again to get into bed and refuse to leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to Mr T's tomorrow but having just seen the forecast we have decided to go this afternoon.......I do not fancy struggling through snow and gales to get my shopping!!!

Tonights supper will be egg chips and beans and bread and butter pudding...I like to use honey instead of sugar, just sprinkle a little demererra on the top before I cook it. I still have some sweet rolls I bought in France in September, that will finish them up................

OH went to bed with a headache last night, woke me at 1.30am, I made tea and he was asleep again by 2.30.....me.............................the last time I looked at the clock it was 4.30am!!!!!!!!!!! so feeling a bit the worse for wear today.

Have managed to swish round with the hoover this morning, watered the plants, did the kitchen floor after supper last night, so the house is tidy.................will have to sort out the washing tonight, the bin is getting full and its sheet week this week, we are now just using the duvet, no longer have the top sheet..........

Right, off to the post office to draw some cash for the shopping and to drop Em at the health centre to get her feet done.................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Afternoon everyone! I haven't managed to post lately, but have read the thread most days.

Thursday is the day I get the house all to myself, so i usually get on with housework in peace, but today I'm doing a bit of decluttering - I've got a carrier bag full of post, which I'm going through to decide what I need to keep and what can be recycled /shredded. DH is trying very hard to tidy up the mess at "his" end of the living room, so I thought I'd best do the same!

((((HUGS)))) to all who are ill or have ill family members, and extra (((((HUGS))))) to Hilstep and Beemused.

All for now - off to read the rest of the thread while I have my lunch.

Edited at 7.40 p.m. to add - Congratulations Hester on the arrival of your granddaughter! And I still haven't read the rest of the thread apart from the first couple of posts because DD2 rang to ask if I wanted to go to Bluewater with her, and I thought I'd better as it can be hard for her to manage both children on her own, especially when DGS (17 mo) is crying because he's teething and DGD (5 wks) is crying because she wants feeding! I was shattered by the time we got back!

    Best wishes

Afternoon all. What a day ! What weather ! Put my plans back a bit. I was going to run down the charity shop and grab a couple of things I should have got yesterday but gale force winds and rain coming down in buckets gave me a change of heart.
So, I spent the morning making cards for the card group I belong to, plus finishing off some others while playing referee while our lad and his girlfriend had a blazing row ...................... They've gone out now so all is at peace in the house..............well for now anyway....................lol

Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((((((((((((((:o ))))))))))))) to all who need them x

    Afternoon all

HH - Congrats on the baby - Made my eyes water just thinking about it!

    Hugs to all the poorlies.

Not seen Catowe for a while  - hope she's ok.

It's yucky here - they've closed the port so the motorway is one giant car park again - means DH's journey home will go from 55mins to around 4/5 hours as all the small country roads will be heaving - not to mention all the trees etc that are down. Several lorries have turned over on the road near here too - the perils of building a main road on a cliff  .

Got DD2 home today - she's got another one of these headache/high temp/sore throat things - she's looking really peeky and has slept most of the day....got a lot of stick last year for the amount of time she had off school but what can you do? She was tested for Glandular fever last year but was all clear - Dr doesn't seem worried but it seems to be 2 weeks at school and then 3/4 days off really poorly.

Just listed 43 items on ebay - I try and avoid the half price listing days and aim for just as their stuff is about to finish - in my experience everyone is just getting money for their items and are quite keen to part with it buying more stuff ;) .

Chicken curry from the freezer tonight - only 2 portions left so DH and I will have those - DD's can have some toasty pizzas.

I gave up bread at the beginning of the week - it always makes me feel bloated so thought it was time to see how I am without it - it's amazing - I've lost more than a dress size - but I love bread and really am missing it

Right I'd best crack on with tidying up.

Hope you all have a safe and warm evening

Haven't read thread yet-sorry Will do so later/tomorrow and post accordingly. What a carppy day. D(?)H had a HUGE go at me this morning really really nasty. Why? well bottom line is that he didn't want to go into school. He was ranting and really hurtful. I now know he hasn't a clue as to just how low, tired dnd overwhelemed I am (and yes, I HAVE told him:angry:exactly how I am feeling) he knows I am not sleeping. Really down today. I don't know myself anymore. Added to this(sorry) I have only just managed to log on(to internet not this site) been at it since 6.40 this morning. Been out to pay mortgage and got a few bits but was in a trance(tiredness and being p!zzed out BIG STYLE). So fed up. Anyway, hope everyone is safe and warm in this dreadful weather, sorry for droaning on so much. Take care and look after yourselves.
Hope pink had a safe journey(picked a really good day to travel eh?) and that Harribo is feeling tons better.

Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.

And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

  • anniestar from one annie to another, have a hug on me. :grouphug: I felt like you do today yesterday (IYSWIM). I had an awful day and felt really down. I must admit, I felt better after a glass or three of wine. :o Enjoy those jaffa cakes.

Off to pick up DS from his work experience soon. He hasn't taken a scarf, gloves, etc. so he will be frozen.

:grouphug: anniestar - I don't know how much use we are but there's always someone around on OS with some sympathy and a listening ear if ever you need it. I hope things perk up for you soon, I have been at probably the lowest I've ever been in my life recently and I think things are slightly on the up now - just try and stay positive and attack as many Jaffas as it takes :grouphug:

Well I managed to get in to work for 9 this morning - only an hour late! - and £170 lighter  £120 for AA and then £50 for a new battery as mine was faulty and not holding its charge  (although this would have been much more had the AA man done it himself rather than jump-starting me and directing me to the local battery specialists!!). Have had to cancel a night out with the girls tonight as I just can't afford it now - really going to have to review the budget tonight and see if I can cut back anywhere and also scavenge around my flat for things to sell!! Oh well, only 29 days until payday!!! :rotfl:
