Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning folks.
It's looking like a rainy horrible day down this way with the chance of snow later or tomorrow. More like rain I think. Off to work soon. Then a governors meeting after school, so a longish day.
I fancy steak for tea, so I will see what I can find in the butchers.
Not much new to report.
Hope you all have a good one...

Apart from that, off to work soon, not raining here yet & not too cold either.
Have a tantalising Thursday
Hugs Hester

Morning N9eav, Amie, wannasavemoney, and H-H and all who follow/cross.
Congratulations Hester :j :j hope you get to see her soon.
Hope the results are good Amie. Fingers crossed for DD.
Salopman - beleive me its strange how you get used to the "just us 2 state" and it feels like chaos when they come home, love to see them, relieved when they go.
Another dry and sunny day here:o and the 10 day forecast looks the same. Boring isn't it.
Its starting to look good for those taking a half term break over here, I understand they break up on the 7th near us at home. But the nights are cold, one of my inland friends said they had ice on their car yesterday morning:eek: .
Friends for lunch today, so quick swish round, and nip to the supermarket for fresh prawns. I've been good its been more than a week since I spoilt myself. All ironing up to date ATM. (Now that is a rare situation I can tell you). WM going on in a mo, so will make more:rolleyes: .
Better go 8am looms. (end of cheap rate).
:grouphug: to those who need or would just like one:grouphug:, and to everyone else :hello::hello::hello:
Take care - DG

Mornign
Hester, congratulations on becoming a Granny, my lovely GD was born in August, and she is the most beautiful baby in the World (as I'm sure yours is)
Horrible here today, blowing a gale and raining (again). I don't think even the dog wants to go out
Bought some celeriac from Lidl, so going to make something with that and fish for tea - we can always go to the chip shop if it's a disaster
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning everyone.
Congratulations Hester on dd new arrival.
It is unbelivably windy here, i can hear bins blowing about and fences creeking, thats what woke me up!
Hate it when weathers like this.
Dh no better, phoned nhs direct last night for advice, they seem to think it maybe be a inner ear infection he has which is causing the dizzyness and now sickness, hes not going back to work until at least monday after his bad turn last night, he really didnt want to miss more work but he cant drive in the state hes in!!
Got council coming to replace my broken sink in the bathroom this morning, and need to nip to bank and get cash out to pay milkman. Having a change round in kids bedrooms again, and now have another pile of stuff for ebay, having a chicken roast later and then chill out on here.
Have a good day everyone, hugs to Haribo.

Morning all
HESTER congratulations! Can only think ouch!
SALOPMAN hugs to you and your wife, what a great opportunity for your DS though.
Hugs to all who need them.
Have been awake since 5 when fat cat woke me up:mad: . He has his op at the vet today to look at his teeth, so he's not impressed at the being starved and kept in. Currently refusing to use the litter tray. Good job psycho cat is still out and not here to wind him up!
It's very windy here today and looks like it's going to tip down. Don't think I'll get my washing on the line. Off to see Mum and Dad for lunch, want to pop into the library to see if they have any simple knitting books. All the stuff that I have found on the net seems really complicated and puts me off as I'm only a beginner.
Also have to do the inevitable studying:eek: . Fancy baked bean and cheesy mash pie for tea, someone mentioned it yesterday. Don't know what DS will have as he's going through a fussy stage. OH is on nights, so he sorts himself out.
Catch up with you soon. Have a lovely day all :A xxxx0 -
morning all,
hester, congratulations on the new arrival, what a whopping baby !! ouch hope they are both well x
Hugs to any one else in need today.
Wet and windy here too, off to work today for my fork lift test, should be ok, I will be glad when today is over and I can get back to my nice warm office.
DD is off into town tonight as long as its not raining too hard, and we have scampi and chips for tea (scampi was bogof).
Day off tomorrow so will need to catch up on the housework / washing.
Have good day all xx0
