  • Good morning all,

Hester Congratulations to you and yours on the new arrival. I'm sure she will be so cuddly and gorgeous that you won't want to hand her back. :D
Donny-gal Congratulations on being mortgage-free. I'm not jealous at all. No, really, I'm not. Honestly, I really am not jealous. :D:p
jayward Sounds like you have some life-changing events happening. I hope it works out in your favour. ((hugs))
Hi to all those MIA. Hope you start posting again soon.
((((hugs)))) to all who need/want one.

Horrendous night last night. Woken at 2.26am by the wind howling and the rain beating on the window. Haven't slept since. Looks like the weather has settled in for the day.

Dinner tonight is leftover meatballs and tomato sauce with spaghetti. Lunch is salad and fruit salad.

Decided I would make a loaf last night and set the timer so that it would be ready this morning. Put all the ingredients in the pan, set the timer and toddled off happily to watch QI. On my way to bed, I noticed that I hadn't put the paddle in. Wasn't holding out much hope of it working as I had to disturb all the ingredients to get it in but the loaf looks good and smells delicious. So fresh wholemeal bread for brekkie today. :j

Have a thrilling Thursday. I will, its payday. :j xx

    Morning All

I cant believe its Thursday all ready - where has this week gone!

Sorry if Ive not caught up with anyone's news alately, (((hugs))) to those who need or want them!

Not a great deal has happened since I found that £40 in my 50p bargain handbag! :rotfl:
Busy washing & TD working over time,
and also doing yet another wedding stationary order, which Ive nearly completed now! They wanted a scottish theme, as they're getting married at Gretna!
Plus - Ive finally got round to setting up facebook at long last, busy putting my cards on there also. Thats almost addictive than MSE.

After watching IT PAYS TO WATCH last night, OH searched for his car insurance last night, got 3 different quotes, and managed to save himself £47 from his 1st original quote!

Just spent 10 mins picking up rubbish from the garden, as the wind kindly blew my green bin over! YUK!

Anyway, must tackle the school run now

PEN-PEN - I've PM you ref this meet. Why didn't I think of Meadowhall last year!

    Take care all

  • Morning Gang!!

Had a bad night and dont feel so good this morning, I'm hurting all over:rolleyes: ...nevermind! The nurse is due soon, so hopefully this will help.

WM is on and DW has been emptied. The cleaner is due today, so nothing much to do around the home. The WM will go on again as the bedding has been stripped and I prefer to get it all done for the weekend.

My traybake tin and box came yesterday from Lakeland yesterday and I'm quite impressed with it. Made the basic mixture last night and it turned out great and the container fits the traybake perfectly. Would recomend this. I also put in another order for the 3 jugs that sit in each other with a lid and some more lock'n'load boxes. Got the 3 round ones yesterday and they are brilliant and most sturdy. Used another £10 voucher so the order came to £20 inc postage.

Ordered DD The Da Vinci code on CD for just £2.99 inc delivery from a link given at hotdeals yesterday. It will make for a good pressy and also ordered OH the follow on to Chronicles Of Narnia Audiobook for the same price.

Just about to do the menuplan thread for this week, so if anyone wants to join this week, please do so...the more the merrier!!

    Hugs to all in need.

    PP

    Good morning everyone,

Congratulations Hester babygirl.gif, aww, I love new babies!

I have washing to do today, but no chance of it going out to dry, I'd be collecting it from all over the place later. It's howling a gale here, and it's just stopped raining.

I hope Haribo is feelling Ok today, and hugs to anyone else that needs one.

My friends at work are showing a lot of interest in my cooking and bread making adventures. Maybe I will convert them all to MSE yet!

    Take care all of you
  • I forgot to say that I hope Haribo is feeling ok today.

OH is enjoying his stereo too, the sound is amazing!

dlb - hope DH feels better soon!
Tru - hope your FIL gets his bill sorted out! Sounds like he's being ripped off! I hope that isn't the case!
scuzz - enjoy your lunch! And good luck with raising the money for Race For Life

we're suppose to be having a fire drill today at work! I wont be going anywhere if this wind & rain keeps up!
My mum finished work y-day at the nursing home, and starts her new job next week in Sheffield, working as a mental health supporter for ex-cons! its sounds rewarding, and not as bad as it sounds!

Thanks Penny-Pincher have just ordered the tin and box, and also the breadkeeper - using the £10 voucher - looking forward to it coming!!!

At work - so I'll keep it short :p

    (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • Bit down today - people around us just seem to be dieing at the moment.

The weather of course doesn't help, it's so windy and stormy it is untrue.

Have to finish my handover folder today and then do handover tomorrow. :)

Can't wait to be out of here!

Can I ask which tin & box you got? Also can you use the £10 voucher several times, I used one last week to buy a mincer so don't know if I'll get the discount again?
