morning all
Its a dreadful start to the day here! very windy and pouring down - hope the roads dont get flooded as I'm off to work later and also out to lunch first!
Hester - congrats on the new arrival!:j
donny-gal - well done on being mortgage free!:T
Jayward - sounds like you could do with some :grouphug:
off to work later so just doing some catching up first, have finally got around to joining freecycle. need to print out my menu planner for the next week, plus do the ironing.
Have a great day all even if the weather is cr*p;)Do what you love :happyhear0 -
HI all, blowing a gale here too but it's not raining (yet). I'm staying in this morning, but have to go out later on.
Congratulations Hester on the new grandbaby. Hope you get to have a cuddle soon.
Hugs to Haribo, I hope you're making a good recovery.
Hugs to PP, jayward, and anyone else needing one.
Not much going on here today, thank goodness, as I've had a busy week, am shattered today. Need to have a shower in a minute, then spending a quiet morning doing some sewing, probably with the aid of the cat, who insists on sitting on my shoulder while I'm trying to use the sewing machine.
Had a nice cooked breakfast as a treat, then leftover chicken in a sandwich for lunch, and pork chops with rice and chilli apple sauce (new recipe) for dinner.
Have a great day everyone, stay dry!

Hi all - a bit late for me because I decided to get all the chores done as soon as DH left for work at 6.30. I had a good night's sleep and wanted to make the most of the energy before I flagged! So, bedrooms done, sheets changed, bathroom cleaned, WM on second load, cake iced, BM on, dusting and hoovering almost done and some paperwork done. Now I feel tired!
I have only skimmed the thread this morning because I am getting ready to go out (in this horrid wet and windy weather, yuk!) so will read it properly later.
HESTER - Congratulations. Reading that made my eyes water in more ways than one! (((Hugs))) to mother and baby.
Hope everyone who is poorly or nursing poorly ones had a better day today.
Well, must dash - will catch up later.

Morning Everyone
Congratulations Hester enjoy your new GD.
I have yet another bug this time a really bad cold with an ear-ache.
DD is at nursery today so I should really be running around getting all my jobs done but I can't be bothered. I am making a pan of lentil soup for tonights tea as requested by dd. I think that I may look at some car insurance quotes ours is due up in a couple of weeks. Last year it cost us £50ish with quidco cash back so hopefully it will be around that again.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning all,
Very wet and windy here:eek:
Have pottered around a little this morning. Managed to sort the dry washing out. Had surgery 10 days ago on a tendon in my foot, so have my leg in a non weight bearing cast for the next 6 weeks, so off work.
DH has been great doing the washing an ironing, he makes me a flask of tea in the morning, then the M-I-L pops in and gets me my lunch. Really frustrating having to rely on people
I will sit and peel the veg later for tea, then do a bit of my coursework.
Hope you all stay warm and dry today and hugs to those who need them.0 -
