    Morning all!

Flying visit from me, I have to go out in this vile weather since we're low on a few essential supplies ( loo rolls come to mind!!!) So , horizontal rain, ooooh my favourite (not!!!!)

Just ordered a new mattress for DS4's bed. They say it will be here later today, so excellent service, but means one of us has to stay in. DH volunteered, I wonder why:rolleyes: :rotfl:

Aussie, I know you'll miss DD, but just think of all the romantic evenings you'll now be able to have;) I'm sure your phone won't be in credit next bill:rotfl: :rotfl:

HH Congrats on new GD! My biggest was 10lb, and yes he made my eyes water:D Bet you can't wait to hold her. She'll already be a real armful, especially if like my DS she's also long.

Must get going, I have decided nothing but beef casserole will do in this foul weather, so I need to get some ingredients I'm short of............beef, carrots, stock,........pretty much the basics really:rotfl:

Hope you have good days, and try to keep dry!

Cafferys beer is on offer 18 cans for £10 ok i know its not an essential grocery item but its our beer of choice so ill nip in at the weekend and get a pack for easter (cheaper than going to the pub)
managed to halve my home baking costs while i was in there, becuse 2 of mine are vegan ive been using vitalite to bake with at 80p for 500g found out that 'M' soft speard is also suitable for vegans as its non dairy that is £1.54 for 2KG!!!

    Hi

Sorry I haven't been around for a while.

Being evicted at the end of March and been househunting. We are looking to rent but there isn't much out there. We have seen a possible place but the owners are Italian/Scots and have difficulty communicating, they want to deal direct rather than use the letting agent.

I have had a cold for a week. I feel so tired and grumpy. The weather is evil here, snow showers and high winds. Was going to go shopping but don't feel up to it. OH did some for us this morning.

Good news, our son has a temporary job and getting his act together, albeit slowly.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.
  • I ordered this:

    http://www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/!5859

    and this...

    http://www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/!11194

...you have to top the order to £25, then you can use the voucher code "DW1" then £10 will be deducted. You do get charged postage though, so if you have a Lakeland locally, order £25 of vouchers as you get FREE postage with them(they will cost you £15 total!) and use them in store on whatever you want and theres no expiry code:D ....would make useful gifts too for difficult to find pressies for people;)

I have used this voucher 3 times now and it goes through each time.

    I've been Money Tipped!
:T:A Thank you so much Penny Pincher! I have just ordered the electric slicing machine I have been hankering for over the last year! £10 off made it affordable, no more doorstops for us from now on!:D

For those who want an Actifry and live near a Lakeland shop I wonder if you could do six separate orders for £25 gift vouchers and use the £10 off voucher each time so it would only cost £90 for £150 worth of gift vouchers?

    afternoon all,

Well I am now a certified Fork lift truck driver :j , test was horrible, just me and the tester in the warehouse and (obviously) he is watching you all the time, made a few c**c ups, but nothing too bad, don't know when I am ever going to use the licence as usually I do accounts in the office, but its a new skill :D

Finished for the day now, so have put a wash on, and will have a hoover through, might have a hot bath before I collect DD.

Hope you are all well, I'm going to have a look at lakekand now, might order some gift vouchers, thanks PP x

:T You've just made my mind up, I've wanted one of those for ages to slice my own gammon joints but couldn't justify the cost. I think I'll follow Penny Pinchers advice and get £30 gift vouchers with £10 off so it'll only cost me £20 and I'll pick it up from the shop so it saves on the postage too!

Edit: best ring the shop first to see if they have them in stock!
