i'd ask for that in writing Darren as all 3 deals at the moment are based on a discount for life from 5.00 - 20.00 depending on handset/tariff, these no handset deals were binned
3 are doing what o2 done with discount500/750 tariff's - keeping up the subscriber numbers in light of a sale but 3's discounts are for life on whatever tariff you choose not like o2 who were with 12/18 monthly discountsSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
You are right - I'm gonna be on a £25 tariff but £20 will be deducted every month automatically.
I didn't realise this was for life - would be happy with that for £5 a month!0 -
I've just been offered £5/month for
300 mins/150 txts , no new phone. 12 months contract
I probably should take it really, but I'm risking it to see it I might get a few months free as well, am I pushing it a bit too much??
Or K800i, same deal £20/month, on 12 month contract...
hankering after a N95 (I am agadet freak) any idea when they'll be out on 3...I expect they'll be happy to upgrade me or sell me a new contract then!0 -
What determines the amount of discount that you get?
Is it the money you have paid?
What have your tarriffs been for you to gte £20 a month off?
To get these good deals do you have to cancel your contract or just ask for a PAC no?
I have asked for a pac no...but have not cancelled my contract.
Thanks.0 -
Got the same deal as Darren21
I was on a £35 a month contract (cashback through CPW) and never spend more than £1 or £2 over that so I'm not that good a customer.
Probably just depends who you talk to, its always easier getting a good 'no phone' deal.0 -
Thanks to everyone for their informative posts.
I have about 5 weeks left on my 12 month contract. I'm paying £35/month for 400min/250texts (although I have had quite alot back in cashback).
I'm trying to find a way to negotiate the best deal when I renew. I'm interested in the E65 phone but none of the other phones that 3 offer. No phone would be fine too.
What is the deal with the PAC code and threatening to cancel?
Any tips would be greatly appreciatedNo Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

I didn't do anthing other than dial 333 and go through the options to "thinking of leaving us" on the choices and simple asked what they could offer me. I didn't ask for a PAC or anything (I'm not very assertive so that isn't my style to "threaten" anything). He told me I was a "longstanding customer" (well toward the end of 18month contract) and also that I used less than my 400/250 (£35/month) contract and how did the 300/150 sound.
It was quite hard not to just say "yes please" TBH:rotfl:
BTW re E65. When we'd worked out the "no new phone" option I asked what would be the "with phone" deal and he asked which phone, so they can probably quote with anything (excet the N95 which I want as it isn't out yet on 3:rotfl: )0 -
I've phoned a few times lately waiting for the 6120 to show up on the system.
I always get the same few offers:
All 12 month contracts:
SE K800i on £30 tariff discounted to £20
SE K610i on £30 tariff discounted to £15
£30 tariff no new phone discounted to £10
New Nokia 6120 on £25 tariff discounted to £20 (disappointing considering the RRP of the phone)
I was disappointed with the offers I was made compared to the offers for new customers (which you can get a sizeable quidco cashback with on top). Needless to say that I intend to use my PAC and port out my number to a better deal.0 -
i got 20.00 off a 35.00 a month contract = 15.00 for life & a new handset upgrade every 18 months, 750 mins 150 texts ( directtalker 1000 with all the extras ! ) - all 15.00 for life
you guys got a great deal but I only ever have to negotiate what handset im getting for free in futureSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... how much they make off you ie incoming calls and usage over your inclusive mins that cost a bomb - this is where the network makes money ! but they just wanna hold on to ya as thy are up for sale and doing the o2 retentions inlight of it, more subscribers = bigger sale price
my usage has been 50.00+ per month on a 25.00 priceplan so i got a stonking deal of 15.00 a month for life with free 18 monthly handset upgrades, work it out....staying within my new plan allowance - by the time they pay for my minutes to other networks ( incoming texts make networks a pittance of profit ) and my handset they aint making a penny now, i got 250 mins more and 150 texts and free downloads/video calls/ for 10.00 less a month - that 25.00 more i was spending will now be covered by my new cheaper planSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0
