3 Retention Deals

It was a couple of weeks since my last chat to upgrades so thought I would ring them today to see whats new.
The offer I got this time worked out almost £10 per month more than what I was offered last time.
I want an E65 phone - best they could give me was VTT600 with only a £5 per month loyalty bonus which meant I would be paying £25 per month. No credit, no half price line rentals!!
Hopefully no-one will renew their contracts on these new rubbish deals so when I can give my 30 days notice mext month I will be offered something better.
According to a 3 staff member on the 3g forum the offers have got worse and are based upon these loyalty bonuses rather than the previous deals - these new deals have been live for about a week now. If you have been previously offered a beter deal and the retentions team have made a note of the offer then you may still get it if you ask nicely and the team manager approves it.
If anyone else is offered any other deals, especially on the E65, please post details here. thanks0 -
vertical fool - I don't think you get the good deals if you call them.
I would suggest:
1) Cancel your contract about 1 month before it ends and ask to be switched to PAYG. The deal I was offered at this stage was not so good.
2) If they still have not called you 4-5 days before your contract is going to expire, then call them up to request a PAC code.
3) Wait for a call!0 -
I was with three paying £25 / £20 per month for offpeak 3000 and offpeak 1000 for 18 months. I did not use much of the minutes then and so asked them that i wanted to switch to PAY as you go in the last december, when my contract was about to end. They offered me talk and text 200 (100 voice and 100 texts for £20 a month originally) but i have it for £45 for the entire year without a new phone. It looks simple without any cashback hassles and so i am running on this. It comes to hurt that 3 is offering new customers 500 min and 75 texts for £15, but what happens to existing customers?0

4 days to go on the 30 days notice of contract. had a call tonight offering 1 year free on a twelve month contract (£360 credit) 500 mins 100 texts. No phone with this deal but still think its very good. accepted and checked and the credit has already been applied to the account so 1 years free mobile with no nasty cashback schemes.0

I've had to ask for my PAC again(previous ones expired) although I've bought a phone on orange which should cost me £20 for the year(300 mins). However if three offer me a good enough deal I may take it as well.

If you ask for your PAC then they will not end your contract and you in effect keep a rolling contract until you actually use the PAC on a new provider. If you dont use it within the time limit then you have to apply again etc etc.
If you are happy to lose the 3 telephone number then give them 30 days notice to quit. This will then get the ball rolling to you receiving a call back from the retentions dept who offer the crazy deals we have all heard about.
Hope this helps you.0 -
Not a retention offer but just to inform you that 3 will be releasing some new tariffs in the couple of days.
Talk and text 600 - 500 mins and 100 texts - is being renamed to "£20 talker" which would normally cost £30 but as you may have guessed costs just £20 - this is an 18 month contract but the price is for life. Unsure what handsets you will be offered free with this.
There is a brand new tafiff called "£15 talker" = 250 mins and 50 texts Again 18 month contract. Probably available with the same handsets that are currently on offer with their £15 contracts.
Lastly they have a new phone released - Nokia 6151 - very basic 3G phone.0 -
Hi, need some advice on three retentions.
They have offered me a three version of the t-mobile flext 35 tarriff on an 18 mth contract for £26.25 a month with a free Nokia N73, E61 or E65. These are the only phones that i asked about, but i reckon they mite give me any of the phones and I think the Nokia E65 is the best of those three and other than the SE K800i meets my demands the best, and the k800 is an old phone now.
This is a good offer and am on the borderline of taking it, but would prefer something cheaper, especially since T-Mobile are offering 10,000 free offpeak mins on the flext 35 tarriff now in addition to the £180 allowance which is pretty much unlimited minutes and texts for me. I would want more of a saving to make it more worthwhile to take it.
I have asked for a PAC code which expires on the 20th July. If I wait do any of you think I will get a better saving or deal?
I have been on TT1100 package at £45 a month over the last 12 months and I use my full allowance every month and would like more texts as am using the free MMS after I run out of SMS.0 -
Anyone any idea how long a phone takes before it is available to upgrades?
I rather like the look of the new Nokia 6120 as advertised on the website. Unfortunately retentions had never heard of it and could only suggest I call back in a few days when their system had been updated.
I have a a while before my PAC expires but I rather liked the look of this phone combined with the X-series tariff. Hopefully they'll get it in soon and can offer me a deal.0 -
Just got the following retention deal:
300 anytime mins
150 text
25 video messages
30mb internet
First 5 months free then £5 a month for 7 months.
So £35 for the year, no handset, pretty happy with that as I wanted to stay. Couldn't be bothered to haggle, was offered this straight away as soon as I said I was on a good cashback deal which is why I'm cancelling. Better to renew these days as three reduced the incentive CPW get so there's rarely any decent 3 deals through CPW these days.0
