I took the following deal with 3 today.
Initially rang up, was offered some unpalatable deals for an iphone5c at about £26-29. Was outrightly told that this was the best deal and we might lose out on it. Said no, put me through to cancellations so I can get a PAC code.
Spoke to the guy there and got an
8GB iphone 5c
unlimited texts
500MB
2000 3-3 minutes
300 network minutes
free 0800 calls
All for £23/month plus £4.99 for next day delivery.
What do people think of that? I thought it was decent. As for the amount of data/minutes on average only using 100mins/texts/MB per month so it met my needs.0 -
On their website they have the following:
8GB iphone 5c
unlimited texts
500MB data
2000 3-3 minutes
Unlimited network minutes
free 0800 calls
All for £19month plus £99 up front and free delivery.
So thats £555 total over the term or £23.13 a month.
Your deal is £552 total over the term plus £4.99 delivery taking it to £556.99 total or £23.20 a month.
So the standard deal they offer on their website is cheaper and you get unlimited minutes. Not by much mind but it is still cheaper than their retentions 'special' offer.0 -
They've just lost my custom after a very frustrating day. I ordered an upgrade online as last time I rang up I had a complete nightmare and lost over 1/2 an hour. Yes, I know I should have rung up rather than just accepting the online offer but there you go. Anyway, today I get an email saying that the phone I wanted was out of stock and there's nothing else at a comparable price (I wanted an iPhone 5c 16GB). Still saying its in stock on the website and my account is still saying my new contract starts tomorrow. Obviously if they can't give me the phone I want, I'm not taking out a new contract so I rang up to cancel. I spend nearly half an hour on the phone and the man kept ignoring what I said I wanted and my price limit and offering me alternatives that didn't meet my needs. In the end I got really fed up and just said I wanted to cancel my new contract as they couldn't provide what I asked for. He continued to offer me alternatives and then suddenly could miraculously offer me the original phone and deal. However, by this time I was so fed up, I asked him to cancel the upgrade. I will most certainly be taking my business elsewhere. Either they can provide what they promised or they can't but the man completely ignored everything I said and has now totally put me off 3!0

I recently asked 3 to terminate my mobile broadband contract, which is on a 1-month basis, and today they rang and told me that I had agreed last year to a new 24-month contract, which I have no recollection of doing. They then sent me what they claimed was a copy of a confirmation email they claimed to have sent me last year confirming the new contract. I had not received that email. As far as I am aware, I am still on a 1-month contract which I can end by giving 30 days notice. Has anyone else had a similar experience with 3 and how did you go about resolving it?0

I have been with Three for the last six years. I'm now on a sim only contract 1 month rolling. I have called up three times to ask for a better deal as my current plan does not allow tethering. They have not budged and are only offering same deals as on website plus free three to three minutes.
Requested PAC code. This was issued without fuss. No callback received to offer anything else.0 -

To be fair to Three I think their SIM only deals available to everyone on the website are very good. I would rather they offered a great deal to everyone than having to threaten to leave to get the best offer. If you have found another network with a better offer than Three's SIM only then just leave and go to that other network. But at the moment, I haven't found anything better (although Giff Gaff come close).0 -
By the looks of this thread i have no chance of getting a good deal out of these guys do i ?!
But the thing is every time i ring up to cancel they hurl offers at me and are dying to keep my custom!
Here is what i am on:
For 8 years i have been on a mobile broadband dongle deal. I pay £8 per month for 5gb data. I have never had an upgrade.
When i call to cancel this dongle because i never use it they keep telling me i should not just cancel as i have so much "offers" that i would be crazy not to take up an offer.
They have offered me tablets, phones, broadband, and mifi deals
Now my dad needs a mobile and im thinking about trying to get a good deal from them because of all this supposed loyalty.
He only wants to pay £10 a month, doesnt need a huge amount of minutes and a small amount of data......but i want him to have a smart phone.
Is there anything i can do to swing a good deal or will i just get what offer they have on they're screens?
Doesnt look like they will care if i try and cancel either, will retentions department give me a call and try to keep me?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.0 -
less than 30 days until end of my contract and no luck either. i want the samsung galaxy note 4. they offered unlimited everything for £40 pm which is even more expensive than what i have seen online £39ish. hmmmm i got my PAC but will they call and offer better?QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0

I called for my pac code and spent 15 minutes before I even got through to the cancellations team.
There were no offers including phones which were attractive. I ended up agreeing to switch to a sim only deal on a 30 day rolling contract. I got offered the £24 deal on their website for £15. Is unlimited minutes and texts with 4GB data which is fine for me.
One bonus was they applied the reduction from this week which has reduced my last month's bill.0 -
Called for pac code after an unsuccessful webchat, offered Iphone 6 64gb free with all you can eat everything for £42 per month or sim only all you can eat calls+texts with 4gb data for £15. decisions decisionsIts never easy.0
