The £5 "for life" does have a minimum 12 months.

If you wanted to cancel during the minimum period this would not be straightforward.

The £5 for life deal (500 mins + 100 texts) is not a £5 tariff, but a £30 tariff with a £25 discount applied each month.

So if you want to cancel after say 7 months, then there would be an early termination fee to pay of £150. (5 x £30)

Once the minimum period is up, then you cancel by giving one months notice as usual.

Retentions offered 600 texts/75 mins, Nokia 6288 for £14 per month (18 month contract). I have over a month to go and haven't given notice/requested a PAC yet, therefore I am not in a rush and will hold off for a better deal (this is not much different to their website offer?).

I am assuming that others who were/are on the 100mins/100 texts free for 10/11 months that was on offer this time last year have managed to get better offers than the above?

Anon - yes, see my earlier posts on this thread. I've got the 500 + 100 @ £5 a month for life coming off the 100 + 100 for £20-ish for last year....

My contract on 3 is up on the 23rd January and i rang giving them 30 days notice to change it to PAYG.Since then they have rung me virtually every day offering me different deals.The latest is either a £10 a month for life deal with 600 mins and 175 texts,or a new 5gb camera phone on £10 a month for 18 months for 600mins and 200 texts.Although these are good deals i never use the phone that much and have been asking for less mins and texts for £5 a month,but they keep saying that offer has ended.
Does any body have any views on whether i should accept this deal or hang on for the £5 deal.

masher - let's face it, for a tenner a month and to have the mins and txts in just in case you need them mightn't be a bad thing - ask yourself if you'll get it any better anywhere else without the hassle of claiming cashback under the current climate of cb companies going under and not paying out??? And the new phone should last you a good few years

How long have you all been with three for?

They sent me a message today about calling me in the next few weeks. Problem is, I switch each year and re-join, so haven't been with them for long as far as they're concerned.

I have a feeling the fiver and tenner deals are for those who've been with them longer?
