Hello,
Do you like pulses? You could fill out the meat in recipes with these to make things go further. My husband was a very fussy eater when I inherited him of his mum. She fed his potato product (mainly hm chips), meat (mainly sausage) every day, and he'd ahardly tried anything else and was adament he pretty much hated everything. I hide things in his food. Last night his mashed potato was laced with cauliflour and parsnips. To distract him I made him a yorkshire pud to put the 'mash' in, and covered it with gravy. He didnt know and ate it as normal. He hates lentils and quorn mince disagrees with him but loves my lasganes which are 50/50 quorn and lentils, and he shows no sign of disagreement. I suppose that maybe you're the designated cook? Could you lace your food in the same way a bit at a time until you get used to it, and eventually maybe possibly even like it just a bit?

A slow cooker is great for cooking casseroles with cheaper cuts of meat.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

Increase his carbs
Bread, spuds, pulses
he doesn't need fatty foods, he needs slow burning energy food - you both should be able to at healthier and cheaper on that

my stepson was also a fussy eater . Since he moved in with me three years ago, I have gotten him to eat so many different things. I am almost a breakthrough with fish.
The trick is to keep limited snacks at the house so that at dinner time the teenage fusspot is hungry. Also another trick is if he does not eat fish or whatever it is, prepare it for everyone else, make it as attractive as possible and give him a boring looking chicken leg or something that looks pretty bland and don't mention it. Pretty soon he will cotton on to the fact that he is missing out on something and come round!Newbie Debt Ninja0 -
Wow and I thought I was a bit fussy becasue there are about a dozen things I don't like (would still eat most of them if I was hungry though!)"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

i'd recommend a slow cooker i made a casserole tody with chicken legs and thighs, they cost me £1.59 and its made enough for 4 meals for me and 4 for DD (she's 6), i added half a bottle of red wine and some chicken stock, frozen veg and mushrooms. it was lovely and worked out at about 35p a portion. becuase it cooks for so long you can use much cheaper cuts of meat and it still tastes lovely, you can bulk it out with any veg and potatoes
