What can i feed the fussiest eater in the world?

Options
Hello all,
Hope you are all fine and dandy and had a fab ol weekend ?

Right here's the problem, my b/f is a bloomin mare in the eating department.

He will not eat hardley anything, he's worse than the kids!

So my question is what can i cook him that he will like, i'll put some of the no no's in a list and you can see what i have to put up with!!

Meats:

Chicken YES
Beef YES
anything else including fish [glow=red,2,300]NO NO NO [/glow]!!

He will not eat any vegetables except processed peas from a tin :-X :-X

i have just managed to make him try something different at the indian, instead of eating only chicken tikka masalla.

But i am sick of eating so much junk food.

Pleaaazzze help a desperate woman :'(:'(

Thanks

Vic

so would he eat something like spag bol? i use stick blender on mine for few secs so just looks like mince and hides the veg- my son faddy eater (age 4) daughter (1 and a half) yet to find something she won't eat.
also i fib about what things are so turkey is chicken etc don't know if it'll work on an adult tho
have you asked his mum how she used to make meals for him?

OOhh no sorry i forgot to tell you that he wont eat spaggetti or ANY type of pasta! (There's so much he doesn't eat i'd forgotten about that!)

And i can't even get away with lying about the meats, if he found pork or lamb in a meal he'd pack his bags !! :'(

Apparently he was just as bad when he was younger.
I can get away with the whole 'Pie n mash' or Roast dinner with no veg, but it's starting to get boring, and i can't put anything i like into the meals that i do cook, apart from onions (I'd forgotten about that too, the only other veg he will eat , Sorry)

mmmm friends (ex) hubby nearly as bad and seems to have rubbed off on their kids also.
what she does for kids is offer a cash incentive for each new taste they try- could you adapt this - doesn't have to be cash you bribe him with ;)

what does he eat with his indian take-away -rice? could you adapt any ingrediants he is eating in his junk food for meals at home?

    LOL @ Cullumpster

sorry i cant be of any help but just wanted to say i understand your plight, your b/f and I could have been seperated at birth, (exept for the pasta) i wont eat any of that stuff either,  absolutely drives my hubby insane lol, I usually stick to beans on toast for every meal. lmao  and then force feed everything down the kids throat  i would hate them to be as bad as me.

you know the saying,  Heinz beans are good for your heart, the more you eat the more you fart, the more you fart the better you feel, Heinz beans for every meal.  ;D
Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission ;)

What a nightmare! It's hard enough trying to think of meals in our house & my hubby will eat anything (except corned beef & beetroot)

Shepherds pie - made with basic mince/onions in gravy topped with mash? You could cook some carrots/other veg separate for you & the kids

How about serving him bolognaise sauce on a jacket spud & the rest of you have it with pasta?

Mexican - chicken or beef tacos/tortillas. I put cheese / lettuce / sour cream etc on the table & everyone makes their own. He can add as much or as little as he likes & no-one else misses out

Thanks for the replies folks, i've been reading through and thinking 'hmm he doesn't eat that either i'd forgotten about that.'

    Lucie,
I've tried that but he doesn't eat salad! so it is just literaly meat and onion MMmmm Nice !

But he does eat jacket spuds so i'll try him with the bolognaise and see what he thinks..... mind you, when i make bolognaise i like to put all sorts of rubbish in there, mushrooms, peppers, onions, branston pickle etc. but i cant do any of it because he sits and anylises everthing!

Especially steak Grrrrr >:( It has to be well done (Or cremated !) and he will cut a bit, check it then eat it. i have to stop myself stabbing him with the fork ! grabbing the fork from his hand !!

    Phew !! Sorry about that.......i fogot where i was for a moment !! ;D

I know what you mean about the health thing, he's got no qualms about stuffing his face with peanuts / crisps / McDonalds and all other rubbish like that, but he's very 'No i don't like it' before he's even tried it.

He has said that since going out with me he's tried a lot of foods that he never would have done before, i think i'm just gonna smack him over the head and wire him up to a drip full of blended mushrooms !
    He hates them Hehe
