i have sent and had replys to 3 emails to ebay about my DSR. not one have they answered my question.

    my query was this....

my DSR had 11 detailed raitings all since xmas (less than 6 months). it is now blank and says "This information will be available when this member receives at least 10 detailed seller ratings"

I'm pretty sure it is 10 a month, not once you've had 10.

My feedback has gone odd as well, or else I haven't understood the changes which is very possible.

I went from 100% down to 99.8% and have just had two positives left at the same time from the same buyer and both have counted, but when I check to see what items he bought my feedback score there shows as 99.7% yet the breakdown when I click it still shows 99.8%

Didn't you know, it is part of the new improved ebay system?

Apparently it improves buyer experience just like all the other great improvements.

Anyway, you main page % is done on the last 12 months and you individual auction page % is done on 60 days or something like that (maybe 30 or 90)

I do understand the ratings it's just that pulling up the same page via two different methods shows a difference percentage.

I know others have the same problem, but my feedback mathematically can not be lower than 99.8% however they calculate it unless they are just pulling out figures from thin air..oh hang on..I might just have realised how they are calculating the scores :rotfl:

Oh, but of course - it makes perfect sense to have two different ways of calculating the percentage rating, with no explanation attached as to why the two ratings are different. My ebay buyers will certainly work this out immediately for themselves, being without exception possessors of the most towering intellects I have ever encountered ...

Unlike thicky old me, with a degree in maths, who was completely baffled by the unexplained difference.

Do eBay really think that this is going to make feedback MORE understandable for anyone at all?? As far as I can see, all it means is that nobody will have any clue as to what a 'good' feedback rating is any more, not least because every seller will have two different ratings, each of which is calculated in a different way and neither of which count a "neutral" feedback as, well ... neutral!! If it detracts from your score, it's hardly 'neutral' now, is it?

P.S. How long will it be before someone sets up a service which calculates your old style feedback rating, and provides a handy link for you to paste into your auctions so that buyers can see your feedback calculated the way it always used to be?

    C'mon ... I know I'd use it!

    Feedback scores and stars
Feedback ratings are used to determine each member's Feedback Score.

    s.gif
iconPos_16x16.gifA positive rating adds one point to the Feedback Score.s.gif
iconNeu_16x16.gifA neutral rating has no impact on the Feedback Score.
iconNeg_16x16.gifA negative rating subtracts one point from the Feedback Score.
Above is a direct quote from ebay feedback forum. If this is the case how come my feedback has gone down from 100% to 99.7%

This is what ebay says on Feedback page itself "How is feedback percentage calculated?"The Positive Feedback percentage is calculated based on the number of positive, negative and neutral ratings (including weekly Repeat Feedback) received in the last 12 months as follows: PositivesPositives + Neutrals + NegativesThis member's 12 Month Feedback ratingsPositives: 753s.gifNeutrals: 2s.gifNegatives: 0
This member's Positive Feedback percentage 753
    753 + 2 + 0s.gif = s.gif99.7%

Which is supposed to be correct - and how useless are ebay when they can't even put forward and follow a coherent and consistent policy?

I have never ever had a neg, but have two neutrals from complete numpties.
How does supplying exactly what is listed, posting same day as payment received (which is acknowledged by buyer!!) earn a neutral?

Oh I feel better for that!:T

The number next to the members name is the "Feedback Score", the percentage is the proportion of positives received in the last 12 months - two separate parts of the feedback system.

    "I have a feedback score of 123"
    "I have a feedback percentage of 100%"

Yeah. I don't see that confusing anybody at all
