My feedback has gone odd as well, or else I haven't understood the changes which is very possible.
I went from 100% down to 99.8% and have just had two positives left at the same time from the same buyer and both have counted, but when I check to see what items he bought my feedback score there shows as 99.7% yet the breakdown when I click it still shows 99.8%
What's even odder is that this buyer bought two identical CDs from me back in March and I didn't realise at the time. Hmm, I've got an unopened box of those identical CDs still, I wonder if he wants them?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. i think that just about does not answer the question
I emailed Paypal the other day and had the exact same kind of "service". They failed to answer the question, stating that I was the buyer, when in fact I was the seller! The English was shoddy too.
And they had the cheek today to send me a customer satisfaction survey!
To be honest, it sounds like the classic eBay cut'n'paste helpdesking we've come to know and love.I went from 100% down to 99.8% and have just had two positives left at the same time from the same buyer and both have counted, but when I check to see what items he bought my feedback score there shows as 99.7% yet the breakdown when I click it still shows 99.8%
I've not found a single feedback profile with numbers that add up correctly yet. It all seems a bit screwy to me. Perhaps there are so many shopping dot com test listings *cough cough* up at the minute that the servers can't keep up with basic feedback calculations. That or it was an intern who wrote them some code in a lunchbreak. Ho hum!0 -
Bad news - the auction wreckers have a new toy to play with. I was left a negative feedback Thursday lunchtime - the day of the change. My NPB left the comment that I had sent them the wrong item when I was still waiting for them to pay me.
When I checked their 'left for others' feedback they had left a negative to 9 sellers, including me, in less than 15 minutes - they must have been very bored.
Good news - I reported them and when I checked my account the next day - not only had my negative feedback vanished, so had the negatives they had left the other sellers.
I really dont think we need worry about unjustified negative feedback as it looks like eBay are going to remove them very quickly if my case is anything to go byJanuary 1st 2013 starting weight 123 kg

I'm sure in the next few weeks Ebay will be trying to remove as much negative feedback as possible just to show there is no problem. Not sure about the long term.
Also it depends how stupid the buyer is, it would still be very easy to leave negative feedback without making it obvious that's it's unjustified.0 -
arghhhh ive only just found this thread!
I've spent hours reading through - I have just checked my eBay account which was 100% with 886 feedback...... I have only ever had 4 neutrals left since opening my account. Two of which were mutually withdrawn due to the buyers accidentally leaving me feedback for the wrong sellers.
I contacted them right away to resolve - they apologized profusely as the feedback was meant for another and the mutual withdrawals went through the same day that they occurred.
This happened many months ago and if you viewed my feedback stats it showed 2 neutrals in the last 12 months section - and zeros in the past month and last 6 months. By the end of this month I would have shown zero's right across the board!
So, after reading this thread tonight I thought I would check my feedback score..... and I just cannot make head nor tail of it! It has me totally baffled!
Positive Feedback (last 12 months): 99.3%
God only knows where the 1 neutral has appeared from in the last 6 months as I have painfully trawled through all my feedback, page by page, and nothing is showing up! Prior to the ridiculous feedback changes which have come into effect recently, I only had 2 neutrals for the 12 month section... now I have 4???!!! I can only presume they have recalculated the score without taking in to account the 2 feedbacks which were withdrawn!
Like many of you, I have spent many hours every day trying to keep my eBay account running smoothly and in good standing, it saddens me to no longer see 100% feedback by my eBay name (sad - I know)! All the effort that went in to my accounts upkeep for fear of those dreaded pedantic buyers, leaving absurd comments, which most of the time were extremely unfair.
One even blamed me for the ongoing postal strikes:rotfl:- they were totally unreasonable, but I stuck my neck out to make them happy, sent a further 2 replacements in the meantime, at my own cost, for him to email me saying I had sent them to his mums address who lived in Scotland and he was living in Kent! Still biting my tongue, I explained his Paypal address was "confirmed" and all 3 packages went to the address Paypal gave me. I had retained 1st class proof of postage each time (P&P is free in all my listings) If they require recorded they may select this for an extra £0.70p upon making their payment final. I made it totally clear to them and asked politely they waited 5 more days to see if the post would clear after the extended strike action......
But NO! This was obviously unacceptable as the next thing I knew I had an email pop-up from Paypal saying they had filed a claim for non-delivery of the said item! As he did not pay that mere £0.70p, my 1st class proof of postage receipts were useless! Knowing I did not have a leg to stand on with Paypal, I refunded him what he had paid! There was no "thank you" but instead a lovely Neutral comment stating that I had "posted his item to someone else's address"!!!
Not wanting to leave negative or neutral as it would have made me look spiteful to other potential buyers, I reluctantly left positive feedback.................................
"7.50 + 0.48 + 7.50 + 0.48 + 7.50 + 0.48 + refund of 7.50"
3 days later he comments on the feedback I left him......"Many thanks, all 3 parcels turned up in the post today" !!!!!!! Needless to say, I did not have these returned, nor did he contact me to at least offer the return of the refund he was given for the initial item.
This whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth, as both eBay and Paypal were extremely unhelpful! There are only so many generic messages you can take from eBay before you give up completely and just let sleeping dogs lay! And, if I am honest, I think they know we will eventually give up the ghost and tire from their lack of willingness to understand, what to you and I are the simplest problems with the easiest of solutions! They never have and never will rectify issues sellers are faced with on a daily basis! Purely because they just don't care! As long as we are still listing items, paying fees for this and fees for whatever else... then they take our dosh from Paypal payments also..... they are just laughing at us! As smaller sellers, we have done the hard work, some who started small have grown extremely successful, others, like myself, are just happy staying small:rolleyes:, content having something to fill the days up with and feel a small sense of excitement and achievement when we manage to flog a double-sided A4 sheet of paper to some poor, deluded foreigner with an avid interest in Roll's Royce Engines to the heavenly tune of £34 or even better having offers in the region of 3k for the remaining 5 boxes full of International Harvester Tractor Manuals you have been lumbered with since your Dad legged it to Spain 6 years ago and you've only just got round to listing it!:D
Well... hear me now eBay!.......
I don't need a bunch of short-hosed, limp wristed money grabbers helping me occupy my time anymore.... not since I fell in love with the Competition Board:rolleyes:...
BECAUSE NOW I AM GONNA WIN ME A LIFE:D:cool::rotfl:(and there's no outlay)!!
The End

All you need to do is to click on the #1 in your feedback chart and it will take you to the neutral feedback that was left0 -
I did but nothing happened
I could do it for the 4.... but not the sneaky one that wasn't there the other day lol
