I didn't find out about this until a few days ago and I am unsure of how to react really.

Can you dispute negative feedbacks ... for example sometimes you get buyers who threaten you with negative feedback?

I also read that Paypal will hold the money for 21 days until positive feedback is given. Not good.

Threatening negatives is not allowed, you can forward to Ebay and they do take action.

Paypal holding money is in certain item categories with certain sellers only and is in only a small percentage of transactions.

No, no one is obligated to leave feedback ever, past, present or future.

When the changes were announced, Ebay representatives said that it would be more likely that more sellers would leave feedback first as a result. A strange argument as most sellers will be less inclined to leave feedback first:confused:

I'm keeping my feedback automated to reply to any received. I sell on eBay to make money, not to trade feedback. If somebody is kind enough to leave a comment for me, it's only polite that I reciprocate.

If they do not leave any, then so be it. I don't chase it, I don't expect it - they've paid their money and got the goods. Job done.

rapido, the rules on cheques have now changed and all banks must clear cheques on working day 6, so on working day 7 you ought to be shipping the goods.

Feedback Score shows the number of positives (less negs) from unique users.

Ebay also used to display your Total Number of positives.

Anyone know when eBay changed the Feedback Profile/Summary page layout so it doesn't show your Total Number of positives ??

It is supposed to be changing later this month, so that repeat feedbacks from buyers (not made in the same week) will be incorporated into the total score. All sellers feedback is likely to increase as a result of this, it is being backdated to when account was started.

So if you currently have a feedback of 500 but have had 600 feedbacks (100 from repeat buyers) then your feedback total will show 600, thus total number of positives will be more visible in your total score.

Surprisingly most people have missed this in the feedback changes, I guess a lot of sellers will get a shock by their sudden jump in feedback.
