I don't currently receive many negatives or indeed give many out (about 3 in 3 years) so can't see it making too much difference.......
I'm glad you think this won't be a problem.
Come back to the forum in a few months time & please let us all know if you still only have 3 Negatives.;)0 -

I've got more than three now, I said that was how many I'd given out (in over 15,000), that was my point, I've never been that fussed with giving them, so not sure how changes will affect me. All my feedback is left automatically, no neutrals or negatives.
Just as a reminder, if sellers are worried about non paying buyers who haven't got any negs and are still registered users, they can change their buyer requirements to bar buyers who have received unpaid item strikes. So if all buyers do their bit (ie file disputes when necessary and change their preferences) there shouldn't be too many more problems in my opinion..0 -

The problem is my pet peeve, people just don't bother with NPB disputes. I don't know why as personally I would do one even for a 99p item, but people do fall for all the excuses and let them off or do a mutual.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. After 6 days the funds are yours.
You'd think so, but with my bank (The Sh-Abbey) you just can't rely on them. After informing me a cheque had cleared (after 4 days), i checked my online account on the 6th day just before sending out the goods - to see that the funds had been reversed.
I don't know whether the buyer had stopped the cheque or the cheque had bounced, but luckily i double checked it online.
I emailed the buyer a few times........but heard nothing from them (obviously dodgy & trying to pull a fast one) so left them negative, to warn other sellers.
On another occasion i was left neutral feedback by an impatient buyer (excuse: slow delivery:rolleyes: )....... because i had the 'cheek' to wait a week (until their cheque had cleared) before i posted their item out! Again, appropriate feedback was left for them too.
From May i can see allsorts going on - especially now Sellers cannot leave Neg or Neutral feedback. But i agree, Paypal is just as bad..........but with Paypal you receive the payment faster & you are covered up to a certain degree.0 -

.
Much as I hate cheques I would say in fairness that the '6' days is the important bit here. The fact that your experience showed the cheque reversed on day 6 shows the system is working, it could not have been reversed on day 7 or later, so waiting until close of business on day 6 guarantees you your funds. This has only been the case since November (?) last year, before that cheques could be reversed for months.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. See.
Wait 6 working days and you'll know if your cheque is a dud or not.
A good way to get payment from any iffy looking buyers, buyers who hate paypal or for items with a high price tag.
I'm sure I've read (possibly in this very forum) that bank transfer is going to be speeded up in the next few months?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

There was an eBay Radio talk show on Thursday where it was said that it starts in the second week of May, and will be rolled out on a country by country basis.
