Morning all ...................well - bit of a disappointment with the slow cooker from freecycle.................rang the lady this morning and she still has it but its only meant for one person. We're having it anyway. If its no good for us it might be useful for one of the kids we have when they leave. We do try and teach them some basic kind of cooking thats affordable. I won't be waster anyway.
Talking of kids...........well one of our lads went to his mums yesterday tea time, missed the bus back (whats new?) went to catch the early bus this morning to get here in time for the school taxi and he was refused a childs ticket due to the time of day !!! I rang the bus company to check, just in case he was pulling a fast one but they said its their policy that before 9am you can only get an adult ticket or childs return !! How daft is that??? So, he's missed a days schooling -not that he'll be bothered - and supposed to be coming back now on the 9am bus, gets here about 10am.......wll he's not here yet !!! Oh dear me.................gonna be one of those days I can tell ! Got a meeting this afternoon - well its called 'supervision' - with my placement officer where we go through whats happened etc. All my reports are done (finished them off this morning - phew !!) .
So, now off to tackle the loo........................lol
Have a great day all of you and hugs (((((((:o ))))))))) to all those who need them.Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Morning everyone,
Proud of myself getting on so early...was on school run duty this morning so up at 7.15...have sorted 2 machine loads of washing, third one in now, eaten breakfast, emptied DW so feeling very pleased with myself.
I have also just booked our flights for Australia, flying to Brisbane on 22nd May and returning from Adelaide on 04th July...priced it yesterday and should have booked as it has gone up €500 overnight...think leaving from Adelaide may be the problem, but want to sees friends there, haven't been before and want to drive the Great Ocean Road. Glad that its finally booked as I can now set down actual dates to see people while there...although if I were to visit half the 'rellies' I would need 6 years rather than 6 months!
Must get on with knitting as time is running out for GC 5's arrival.
Pelting rain here, not cold, but had been looking forward to getting into garden with OH to continue some of the clean up he started yesterday...won't manage anything today, hope that he doesn't lose interest!
Jockett...so sorry for your daughter, with her friends is the best place for her, hardest for them is the realisation that it is not just old people who die.
JackieO you sound so good it is marvellous!
Mrsmoneypenny...most schools here have a ban on 'snack foods', crisps, chocolate in any form is not allowed, mainly I think because many youngsters create a huge mess and also because it can put pressure on parents who either don't want or can't afford such treats. We don't have a school meals system here so some youngsters whole day would be fuelled by 'rubbish' if it were allowed, not all parents are knowledgeable and conscientious in respect of nutrition.
Hugs to all in need or want of one

Jocket - so sorry for your daughter, it is awful when this happens.
Inspired by someone on here (forgot who it was) I did a monthly boots shop, bought 4 packs of nappies, 4 packs of wipes, Toothpaste (for DD and us), 8 showergels (was on offer for 0.29p), 2 tins of formula and all of that for only £40.25.
We are having Lentil Curry tonight and I can't wait - I absolutely love it...
Other than that not much planned, doing a bit more work on my handover...
Hugs to all who need it.

Jockettuk - so sorry. One thing about the facial and massage - a lovely treat but sometimes releases 'stuff' so she just may be tearful and wobbly afterwards. this is just my own experience. I'm off work at the moment and had a facial with a nice face massage last week and was VERY tearful and wobbly next day. I think it releases toxins so all in all it is a good thing - maybe some emotions are able to be released in my case. But, to repeat!! it's a good thing.
Take care

Thanks for this info, might do her some good to let it all out about this and other things ..
The cat has to have his two canine teeth out as well as having his ears flushed as they full of gunk but they not sure what gunk so have sent off a sample to the lab. this was a lady vet and although she didnt say so i think she was dissapointed in the other vet as much as we areThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
