    Flipping Friday!!
Those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
    Level One
Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see
Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself! Anything you like
    Level Two
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc for at least 10 minutes
Dusting, all those shelves and flat surfaces
    Level Three
[strike] Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattress, replace with fresh linen[/strike]
Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers and get the clothes out which are no longer wearable, too small or out of season (do they need anything replacing?)
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors (yes including the handles)
    Extra Mission:
    * Wash a set of curtains, nets, duvet or throw
    * Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames
    * Hotspot cleaning, spend 10 minutes tackling one at least
    * Grab a bin bag and fill it with stuff to leave the house. Can be rubbish or charity shop or to donate to a friend/freecycle
Well, I haven't done anymore in DS's room but.......... I'm really pleased with myself.:T I've sorted all my drawers, wardrobes etc and given my room a really good clean, including under the bed, and the window. I've got a bag of stuff for the Charity shop, so will get DH to put it in the car tomorrow night, and I can drop it off on the way home from work. I've taken books off and cleaned the bookshelves, replacing the right books, brought extras down to go on the shelves in the den (maybe get there next week!). I've sorted a load of papers and shredded a bag full.

I've also washed and waterproofed (in the WM) three coats and am just going to reload the WM. Stripped tablecloth, ready polish it in the morning.

This is after getting up at stupid o'clock and doing ironing etc before everyone else was up.

DH used leftover Spag bol from freezer for dinner, and has done all the clearing up. Stuff still on draining board, but......clean and reasonably tidy.

Anyway, DS says he'll try to get up a bit earlier tomorrow, if he sleeps OK tonight. DH has promised breakfast in bed, which will be a treat, and the plan is to dig in to his bedroom, then we'll have a break for grocery shopping, then come back and finish. I feel really impressed and I know I wouldn't have done any of it without the motivation I've had from you all on here, so thank you again. The whole house smells fresher, although I don't really think it "smelled" as such, but I do have dogs and cats. This augurs well for flying straight next week!:j

Shirley I am considering a 7 days worth of the half hourly planners from this website http://www.chartjungle.com/schedules.html makes it so much easier when someone else has done the lay out, was thinking hourly but half hourly might work out easier for us. What I am thinking is print 7 off and laminate them, suppose I could put the things that won't change each week like sleep etc on before laminating them, then use them with a dry wipe marker to start planning every week, I was thinking of either in a file or just hole in the top and string through. That way each week when appointments intrude when I had previously planned study I can just wipe off study and put it somewhere else, does that make sense or sound sensible? Or just completely obsessive :rotfl: I need a routine or it's going to all go to pot, not doing it because I am naturally organised, but because I am not! I'm going to stick to my flylady days for cleaning routines, try and get DP to help a little more and see if maybe I can fit in doing a few more things on a morning before walking DS2 to school etc.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • oooh thanks for that lil_me. Though I'm scared that they think the day starts at 5.30am. I think I may print a couple of those off for the next week and then use them to see what I actually do, before I make plans to organise my life a bit more. At the moment I have no idea how long it takes to do certain things that need to be done, like cleaning the rats cages out etc.

Here's another one joining the fed up club Dusty! It has taken me hours to do very little in terms of my planning, and it looks like I'll still end up doing most of it tomorrow after all, cos Casualty is on in a min, and I've yet to cook dinner!

    Best get on ...

**Slops self into fed up corner and hugs those who feel fed up too**

I may aswell talk to myself as to talk to DP about study plans etc, I am expecting him to do exactly what he did last time which was continue to leave me to deal with everything then shout last minute when assignments aren't done, every time I mention it he just grunts at me, grrrr!!! Suppose I am on my own with this one, again!

    Evening

Sorry Dusty, Sexymouse and Lil me are fed up, all for various reasons. Hugs to you all xxx

Not done too much today, S&S kitchen and DW on and thats been it. Collected DH from airport, DS reaction was really lovely, so excited. Been have a family day and just had a chippy! DH has had 2 hours sleep last night so has just passed out on sofa.

Not got anything planned for tomorrow yet, might leave DS for DH for a while and do a few jobs or read my book.

Phone is well and truly dead, IL's have let me an old one of theirs so at least I'm not phone-less, felt a bit nervous of driving a long way this morning with no phone - silly but it makes me feel secure. Noticed a pain on my arm and a funny mark, turns out it the battery thats leaked and burnt me - YIKES!!!

    Hugs again my lovelies
