That's fab Shirleypark! Are you still photographying? Hope things are going your way and you're getting the house how you want it.
I've done not much else since I posted last. Walked to the shops, played in the kitchen and generated washing up which is sitting looking at me.. I bought my new nephew one of these, not very money saving but I like to share..

Shirley that is wonderful, definately made me smile, so much nicer than a shop bought one. He's soooo cute aswell, I definately like the 'can I eat it?' one.
beerqueen, well done, please you are finding it helps, in a few weeks you'll be on top of it all, then just keeping on top of it which will be much easier.
Solwaykid you are a naughty bad influence as I know I will end up buying Matthew something! In fact my kids should have this
poohbear and everyone else, thanks for the good luck wishes with the courses. I'm only taking time off while we establish some sort of routine to fit in study and 'life' so far I've been sat trying to write down some sort of plan and then we remember something else which needs doing, then back to square one. We're doing 90 points of courses 50% more than recommended, so trying to work out where we can fit in 40 ish hours of study into the pretty hectic life we have now, not easy & lots of juggling I think. Trying to keep weekends study free apart from on a night, have decided on the Saturdays being farm shop/pet shop day once a fortnight and get 2 weeks supplies if I can, I usually won't take the boys shopping with me as I hated it as a child but they enjoy going to both of those so figure that will help. I can see us doing even more 'several birdies with one brick' trips. Shopping online for basics I think will be a must, was hoping to use Tesco but with the now lack of codes, think I will be going back to Asda or seeing what offers Sainsburys etc have on.
See I'm panic waffling just thinking about it, I've decided tomorrow is the last study free day, will be finishing clearing the dining room (use table for study as we eat in the utility) then opening the packs *shudders* all 3 of them, see what schedules are like etc.One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me, you seem to be taking the right approach to the studying. Organisation is the key when you've got other commitments and 'life'.Apply the Flylady principles and you'll be grand. If you're still posting we'll challenge you to HHS when you're feeling unmotivated!

Highlight the word before clicking the add link button. The work you highlighted then becomes the link!
Just for Raphael.. next week your bathroom WILL be cleaned!! It was a dirty uncleaned oven last time... did the job though!! heehee What day are you most motivated?
Usually at the start of the week. My oven has been cleaned twice this fortnight, but I haven't touched my bathroom! (Well I've brushed a couple of dog hairs off the toilet seat )Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Hi everyone,
bright and sunny here, but very chilly! I slept in a bit this morning, and have failed to catch up with the rest of the day... I popped out this morning to get bread and milk, and came back to find that the new computer had been delivered, and the entire kitchen and sittingroom covered with computer bits and packaging...aaargh! I get quite stressy when it is so untidy. Most of it has been set up now, and the old computer is up in DD's bedroom - which mean she'll probably be on MSN or Bebo half the night.
Downtown with DD late morning and early afternoon, as she wanted to get info about bank accounts, and I had insisted she read Martin's The Three Most Important Lessons book, which made quite a point of getting and reading information about products and services. We also did some clothes shopping in M&S, bras for DD, and a jacket and shirt to go with some trousers I already have just in case I get a phone call for some work next week. I also stocked up on pens and a few pencils. but no red pen...
I would be very happy to have some classes to plan for! Two full pages of jobs in the local paper this week, and nearly all for graduate trainees, and nothing in my subject. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be some ads around half term. We have two weeks till half term here, although my three have the Thursday and Friday as extra days.
I have now managed to cross off two or three of those niggly jobs that I never seem to get round to, and will try hard to get the painting done next week as long as it isn't raining. I did my January accounts this afternoon. Spent ages looking for the odd £25.50 that I couldn't reconcile, and then remembered that there was a cheque that I wrote in December that only cleared Friday.
OH has finished the wardrobes in the boys' room, and they look great! Our wardrobes to start tomorrow. I'm going to start looking for a chair for the bedroom, and a throw for the bed, as well as some new carpet for the livingroom...
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

:rotfl: my DS1 fits in a Boots delivery box, he is however being 'compacted in' by his much larger little brother, amazing how small a space they fit in, I might see if I can fit them both in a box for when they are bugging me.One day I might be more organised...........

:hello: Evening All
Not posted for a while, thought I would pop in and say hello to you all. I'm still doing my flying each day :j (even though its my list I'm using).
Can't wait til we break up next week as I'm absolutley shattered, its been so busy at work. Got lots to do half term tho, including lots of appointments for me & DS (Dentist, Hospital, Opticians & hairdressers) and I'm hoping to take DS to the cinema one day as well as "deep cleaning" my kitchen & car, so not much time to recharge my batteries  .
I've been drinking iron water to try and get my iron levels back to normal and I've got to go for a blood test next week to see if it is working (think it is as I don't feel as tired as I have done). I hope so as my consultant has refused to give me an iron infusion as previously planned due to the reaction I had last time and I can't tolerate the tablets. So don't know what the alternative would be.
Been shopping this morning and skidded on the ice on a roundabout (in my car) scared the life out of me, luckily it was at 8.30am so there was no other cars on the island at the time! Went to the petrol garage to fill up and was only accepting cash payments (The car was running on fumes and I got no cash) typical. Ex-OH in a acting rather strangley today when he picked up DS (he's being unusually nice :rotfl: ) - he's offered to give me some money to pay for DS football tournament which I've got to pay by the end of Feb.
I'm batch cooking some shepherds pie in my slow cooker at the moment, so need to go and sort that out in a bit.
Anyway, Hope you all have a good weekend and I will try to pop in more often and catch up on the threads.

I am still taking photos, this year I'm planning on taking atleast 1 picture a day every day, my photo journal is here http://aimless_photo.livejournal.com
I had nothing to do with the ones on that card, that was all my sister's doing. I took it to work as there's a couple of people there that are into scrap booking and card making etc, I have the feeling that a few people will be stealing the idea, but then I can't blame them, it's such a simple but effective idea.
I think I need to take a leaf out of your book lil_me, I really need to get into some kind of routine with regards to housework, studying, photography, the rats and DIY. I could probably make better use of my lunch breaks and I'm sure it would help if I didn't spend half my spare time sat infront of the computer pressing F5 to see whether anything new had been posted. Earlier I went to get my car tyres changed and needed to kill some time so I went and sat in the library and read about 1/2 a book on time management, I'm thinking of keeping a time diary for the next week to see what I actually spend my time doing, and try to do the things that I need / want to do and forget about the rest, plus stop killing time on the computer so I actually have time to do those things.
Right time to sort dinner, and then finish off the floor in the lounge.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0
