Hi all. Snow here. about 3 inches. Kids were mega excited to get out in it. DS3 has never been out in snow before and he was sooooo excited. We managed to build a snowman with the snow from the field behind our house. But he has now started melting and his nose has dropped off!
DS1 phoned me at 7am asking me to go help him on his paper round. He had been out for half an hour and not even managed to get to the first house. So i was out and about in the snow first thing. Saw 2 cars accidents on our way. 1 guy swerved right onto the path into a hedge, and the other driver hit the back of a stationary car.Nothing to declare

Pinzy welcome, you'll find we do things rather different here, but I do hope ou enjoy joining us. Pigpen will be doing the list for the next couple of weeks, but sure she will post the link for the new thread in here
julie I'd just keep soaking it in the bio washing solution, unless you have some starclens or oven cleaner, that might work better.
hugs for those with bad snow, I expect poohbears kids will be out skiing by now. Newmrslockwood, not nice seeing accidents, makes you realise how dangerous it can be.
:j The snow has gone and the sun is shining here, I made myself do lots before I even switched this on. Vacuumed through downstairs, filled DW and got that started. Tidying living room up (pile of kids stuff needs taking up and some laundry) washer load on airers and another is on now.
Got the gammon on the boil, I found some cooking instructions which say boil for 3 - 3.5 hours then roast for half an hour ? Will that make nice ham for sandwiches ? I usually cheat and buy it ready cooked
I should get DP up soon, the garage which is putting the tyres on is miles away and shuts at 2pm  I ain't even been in the shower yet. Suppose I should go get him up so he can watch the [strike]brats[/strike]boys while I get showered and dressedOne day I might be more organised...........

After lunch I plan to -
bathroom - clean, wipe down tiles, clean window , take marks out of floor and decobweb
DD's bedrooms - change bedding, take marks out of carpet, clean windows & blinds and have a massive fling - they have been warned this morning that the black bags are out and heading their way.
Enjoy your afternoon.0 -
Gah! I don't log on for a couple of days and I have 400 posts to read thru! You'll all excuse me if I don't trawl thru them like I usually do. (Most of them will just be ebay updates from Pigpen anyway I bet
)
I think next week we definately need a room change around, my bathroom hasn't been cleaned in the last two weekscos by the time I get to it I've lost the motivation.
Hope every one is well

Any ideas how I can clean my pressure cooker which I burnt earlier in the week?
So far I've tried - Fairy powerspray twice and left it soaking with washing powder in - it's better than it was but it's still not clean so any more ideas would be gratefully received!
Jue
I burnt a saucepan the other day and I soaked it in hot water with soda crystals in for a while, loosened the burnt bits with a spoon and then soaked it again. It all came off with a washing up scourer in the end. Good as new!0 -
Three loads of washing done - where does it all come from? I do washing every day, sometimes two loads a day. Hung it all outside, then it rained a little but I left it and it's stopped now. Very cold though so I don't think it will really dry. At least it will smell fresh.
Veggies prepared for tea. We're having roast today instead of Sunday because DH is going fishing tomorrow.
DDs have just left to go to Rome for the weekend.
I had to take the dog out because she got so excited when DH put his coat on to take them to the airport, so we went over the road and paid the paper bill. She's just sitting, watching the back door now waiting for him to come home.
The living room looks like a bombsite because DH has got all his fishing stuff down "to sort out" and then gone out. He said he's not taking much this time.......
Hope everyone's OK.0 -
Living room done and boys doing there room so that should keep them busy for awhile:rotfl: .
WM on and TD only few loads to do today, gonna have another cuppa before i do anything else.
DD watching high school musical again 3 times she's seen it and it only arrived yesterday:rotfl: she's dancing round the livingroom.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
:hello: I haven't posted for a while, but have tried to keep up with the thread.
I am doing 10 minute bursts in the kitchen, bathroom and living room at the moment, as well as cuddling DS and playing with him as I go. OH has taken DD to swiming and then to see her half-brother, so I can get on a bit. We have people round for a meal tonight, first time for a while, so crisis cleaning is occurring. I always decide I will keep it up when I do this, we will be away over half term so it would be nice to come home to a half-decent house.
Hope those with snow are warm, anyone lost electricity? I just heard on the radio 16,000 people are without electricity in North Yorkshire (where we will be at half term)!

BM on, finances updated, S&Sd livingroom, worked out when my car is next due a service (not for ages, yipee, time to save) and that's about all. I suppoose I'd get more done if I bothered to get washed and dressed. It's just too cold to strip for the shower.
Welcome to the thread Pinzy, I think a lot of us arrived here after struggling with US Flylady. Hope you find the pace a little more relaxed.
jjef, birthday hangover? A sign it was a good one then!
Raphael, I think you can be excused trawling through 400 posts. If you ask Pigpen nicely next week she might single you out and shame you into cleaning your bathroom like she did with someone last time she had command of the flylady whip! One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400
