TGI Friday here too! What a long week. It was strange coming home and having DH home, and good what he achieved too with his day off. DS was so sweet. He saw DHs car on the drive as i was parking, and was shouting Daddy, Daddy, as i think that is the 1st time ever he has been in when we have got home.

That is so sweet :) best feeling in the world.

  • Gorgeous day here - at least through the window!

Main task today is to find and buy a suit for DS to wear next weekend. Sadly he's different top to bottom if you know what I mean so it means lot of trying on - how long will a 5 year old be co-operative?? I'm bribing some good behaviour with going by train - lets see if it helps or not!

    See you later

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

Well I am online just, at the moment I have to be making a phone call to have any chance of the connection staying on  So I dial tiscali on an 0800 number which is always a queue, hook up to the internet and then put the phone down! I got booted off about midnight last night and couldn't get back on.

Right we have a dusting of snow here thismorning, A and & W have been out to play and we are now about to go to swimming lessons. W's godfather should be here when we get back so will prob not get back here until the new thread starts.

Have a good w/e everyone

  • YAY :j It is Saturday and the asun is shining, the children are happy (ATM) and DH only has to work until 2 today (although he does want to go and watch the rugby this afternoon) Got a mystery shopper assignment today and another one tomorrow and both are within walking distance so that is great.
My niece is going to Kip Mcgrath today - has any one heard of them and are they any good. When we went in last time we weren't all that impressed as the lady seemed to be putting one of the children down. That is the last thing my niece needs. I plan on staying for a while so I can eavesdrop.
Okay I am up for the weekend list as I got a lot done during the week although my house still needs a lot doing to it. The bits I tend to ignore and hope the will go away

Weekend Extras for those mad/dedicated enough to want to do more, you could try one or more of these
[STRIKE]Do up to level 3 in any room you didn't quite do level 3 in this week[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Handbag clearing (or wherever you dump things in baby bag/back pack etc) empty it, sort it, ditch any rubbish and clean if required[/STRIKE]
Spend 1 hour at least with family, doing something you all enjoy
GOing to try and sort out paper work in cupboard or at least make a start on it. AT least 1 hour needed.
[STRIKE]Radiator cleaning (or vents if you have them instead) clean at least one, more if you can[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Freezer/fridge/cupboard checks and meal plan from what is in, might even save you some money next week[/STRIKE]

Morning everyone, frosty here this morning with a sprinkle of snow and kids can't wait to get out.

Completely dosed with the cold this last few days so cleaning has slipped abit but i did start the kitchen last night and plan to spend the day finishing it. Even put the things i need to use out such as slow cooker and put the grill away which doesn't get used to often.

Shell i'm so sorry for your loss.(((hugs)))
    Tia beautiful flowers.
Dusty that's such sad news, there was a wee boy only 7 years old colasped at school and the teacher gave him CPR until the paramatics arrived but he died when he reached hospital. So young and just heart breaking.

Time for a cuppa anyone want one?? Then kids dressed and me then get this kitchen finished.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Morning ladies. I didn't have time to do much flying on Thursday & Friday so, I'm going to catch up and do some extras this weekend. Here's my list which I'm hoping to get through:

Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs

Extra Mission Tasks - as usual if you fancy tackling something else you could try one or more of these
    • Check where important documents like passports, birth certificates, driving licences, medical cards are and make a note of where they are and if any need replacing, changing etc (yes I know it's repeated but lots of members were not about when it was done)
Wednesday - Master Bedrooms and Landings
    Level Two
    Remove floordrobe from the floor!
    Vacuum floors in these areas
    Level Three
    Vacuum mattress
    Clean tops of drawers
Check through one drawer making sure only what needs to be is in there!
Extra mission tasks, as always if you fancy an extra challenge try one or more of these
    • Spend 30 minutes doing something for you, anything you like, call it 'midweek me time'
    • Empty the top or bottom of your wardrobe, wherever you 'store' things, sort through it, clean wherever it goes, remove what shouldn't be there then replace what should be
    • Clean windows in the bedroom, make sure you wipe the sill too
Thrilling Thursday - Study/PC area and Bathrooms

    Level One
    Clean floors in these rooms
    Level Two
    Clean baths, toilets and sinks
    Clear any clutter from desk
    Dust PC and desk
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
    Level Three
    Wash your bathroom mats
    Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Defragment hard drive on one PC or laptop

Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • Clear a hotspot, if it's bad at least spend 10 minutes on it
    • Remove anything from window sills in these rooms, clean before replacing the items (which you have of course given a wipe)
    • Clean toilet bowl inside and out, the floor in front of it aswell if you need to (I wonder when boys/men will learn to aim?)

    • 15 minutes paperwork filing/flinging. Deal with anything urgent now
    • Towels & Flannels- wash any grimey ones, make ones which are ''beyond repair'' into something else (flannels, cloths etc) or get rid!
Friday - those frightening Friday kids rooms and spare rooms

    Level One
Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see
    Level Two
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade, curtain rails or above the door frame.
    Level Three
Strip beds and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!!
Drag all that junk out from under the bed and deal with it as required e.g. bin, put away, wash etc
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
    Extra Task List

    Extra Task List

As usual pick any one or more of the following if you fancy an extra challenge today and are still alive after entering the kids rooms!!
    • Look in that medicine cupboard... is there anything you can fling? Is there anything you need to stock up on?
    • Time for the Friday Flylady Fling, in the toy box!!!! aim for 27.. if no toy box you’ll have to choose another area!
    • Clean 2 radiators or the skirting in any room of your choice!.. or you could do both! ;)
    • Clean any one (or more) window that needs doing
Weekend Extras for those mad/dedicated enough to want to do more, you could try one or more of these

    1. Do up to level 3 in any room you didn't quite do level 3 in this week
    2. Handbag clearing (or wherever you dump things in baby bag/back pack etc) empty it, sort it, ditch any rubbish and clean if required
    3. Spend 1 hour at least with family, doing something you all enjoy
    4. Hotspot time - spend 15 minutes clearing some of one of your hotspots
    5. Radiator cleaning (or vents if you have them instead) clean at least one, more if you can
    6. Freezer/fridge/cupboard checks and meal plan from what is in, might even save you some money next week
Planning on going to MrT at some point to get something for dinner tonight. OH has pulled a sicky today which I'm not overly impressed with, seens how he was up to the wee hours of the morning on the laptop.... I'm not overly bothered but his phone has been going off all morning and he's still in bed so, it's starting to get on my nerves.

Better get started on my flying list. Or - finish watching Saturday Kitchen? Hmmm......

Happy Birthday for yesterday jjef. Hope you enjoyed your wine & takeaway!

Have a good weekend everyone! Ash xx

    Oh a Flylady thread!

I had joined the website last year but got overloaded with the emails so had to cancel. Things are far more settled now and I will keep an eye out for Monday's thread!

Will also dig out the morning stuff:
    IN THE MORNING:
    1. Get up and weigh
    2. Shower and get dressed to lace up shoes, fix your hair and face
    3. While you are in the bathroom Swish and Swipe
    4. Grab a load of laundry and start the washer
    5. Check your calendar for today's activities
    6. Empty dishwasher to start your day
    7. Eat something good for you and take your medicine and vitamins
    8. Drink your water
Though I won't weigh. It's not healthy to weigh every day because we fluctuate so much! I'll stick with Paul McKenna and leave it at least weekly. Mind you, should I even bother with that? After all, I won't need a set of scales to tell me my trousers are getting loose!

Glad to see a Flylady group here :D
    :)
  • Morning everyone.

Snow here too, although such a light smattering it has gone already now the sun is out.

We are having a productive morning. We've all done the supermarket shop and spent less than 50quid which says something for us. 44 for a change. I got a load in the WM, and unpacked the shopping and put it away. DH swept and hoovered the dining room and living room, and is now fitting another door, so that is the last one that needs replacing upstairs. We have only had the doors for 3 years. What is it about DIY that it only ever gets done when we have another big deadline to work with - i.e. getting married or me being pregnant. :rotfl: not complaining though, as he does a really professional job when he actually gets on.

did a small weekend list, so here goes:

    weekend list of terror!
    • [strike]Mark 11J5 coursework[/strike]
    • Mark 3 x y9 tests
    • Mark 1 x y7 tests 5/30 done
    • [strike]Mark 1 x y10 h/w[/strike]
    • Plan lessons for week
    • Clear ironing
    • WM – [strike]my undies/PJS[/strike], [STRIKE]charlie’s bedding,[/STRIKE] [strike] my tops[/strike] also my work and casual trousers
    • [strike]Change charlie’s cot bedding[/strike]
    • Clean bathroom
    • Make butternut squash and lentil soup
    • [strike]Food shop[/strike]
    • [strike]Visit parents[/strike]
    • Sort 8B scheme/9LI/9JK
    • Do performance management interim review looked at it and it was a bit scary so i put it off
    extras:
    • outside xmas lights down
    • next week reminders wrote into diary
    • bedroom door cut to fit, just needs hanging now
    • more than an hour spent by DH pruning the back end of the garden then shredding the waste for the green bin
although by the looks of it DH also has an agenda, so no idea what we will actually achieve, although school work is a biggie in this house this weekend and he will have to lump it. One week till half term here as well, so i will have to have a good go at clearing some deadlines while charlie is at nursery, and also do some deep cleaning as usual. No where is as grotty as it used to get while i was slogging away, but it is still grimier than when i was off work and i don't like it.

Anyway, onwards. The day is young and i want to do something with it while i can.

A bit longer than half an hour and I don't feel like I've got very far down the pile!

    I've:
    Emptied and reloaded the TD
    Emptied and reloaded the WM
Taken 3 piles of clothes upstairs ready to be put away
    Washed the dishes
    Made a jelly
    Cleared one of the sides

So not a lot but it's a start!

Any ideas how I can clean my pressure cooker which I burnt earlier in the week?
So far I've tried - Fairy powerspray twice and left it soaking with washing powder in - it's better than it was but it's still not clean so any more ideas would be gratefully received!

    :hello: Pinzy

Okay I'll go and do some more!
