It wasnt til i was older that deaths really got to me. I think the age they are they cant really comprehend the conceptThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Shell, big hugs to you and the family, I think Michelle's way is lovely, just saying that she has died and gone to heaven may be enough for your girls because of their age, they will probably lead the rest of the conversations asking questions if they want to know more.
Good morning everyone. Hope you are all well and big hugs to those who need/want one. Well my plans for my last day before I open those OU packs have been some what squished as DS2 is off school, he's been up since 3am with a sore throat, tonsilitis is getting to him much more and showing no signs of going so made him a GP appointment for 11.30am. They had a gymnastics thing on all day at the sports centre and when he can't run without coughing I think it's pointless him going. I think I might get him dressed and take him the other places I need to go, he'll probably sleep in the car.
Ok, will post my list for today, just have to see how far I get with it
Farm shop - mince, chicken, eggs, sausages, steaks
Pet shop - dog food, crickets, worms
Post office - send parcels, tax DPs car
Try to get more boxes sorted through in DS1s room, I am getting there, honest
Level 3 boys room
Vacuum landing - bean bag leaked
Dailies vacuum through downstairs, meals, S&S bathroom and kitchen
Laundry - 3 loads - wash, dry, PUT AWAY NOT IN THE BASKET!
Sort through photos which are dumped in drawer and put in the box I found for them
15 minutes paperwork sorting, bills paying and balancing accounts
Clean conservatory windows inside
Wipe sitting room wall where DS1 has 'wiped hands' grrr!
Clear dining table ready for studying
Sort one unpacking boxOne day I might be more organised...........

OMG
what is wrong with you all? I have been able to find my last post that i thanked for a chance, normally so many pages have gone and i can't be asked to find the last one. Blimey i'm so chuffed
Now i did mention something about bread bins way back. Do they keep bread fresh or do they make the bread go off quick?0 -
Morning
Shell (((((((((hugs)))))))) I agree with what Michelle suggested, just something simple that she's died and gone to heaven will probably be enough, I'll be thinking of you today x
Michelle I agree with the girls, just casually ask them if they'd noticed how he might have got the scratches and if they would be so kind in the future to let you know because you hurt his head unnecessarily x
Went to bed at 10 last night and pretty much slept right through till 7am, feel much better, thanks for all your hugs and advice ladies, I think I must have been a closet control freak cause the idea of only doing level 1 each day fills me with dread, I couldn't possibly lmao - but am gonna try my hardest, it was good advice so thanks. :T
Working till 2pm today, then I've got some stuff to do around here, sort littleys stuff out for sleepover at nanas, she's off to see HS Musical on ice tomorrow (wish I was going) and then a couple of letters to post and what not, just gonna chill and try not to get so uptight about things not done.
Brews for those that need/want one

edit: Kimberley I've had bread bins before (just shove it in the cupboard now) and haven't noticed any difference in the amount of time it stays fresh.0 -
Blast! Curses! Blast!
One of my dear offspring or offspring-in-law has clearly gone to the freezer at some point yesterday, taken something out and not shut the door properly! The green light is on, so clearly it's still down to the right temperature BUT there's frost over everything!
Guess what I'll be doing at some point today? Yes - getting everything out and defrosting the blasted thing. Ah well, at least it's cold enough for the food to go outside whilst I do it.
Blast! Curses! and more Blasts!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Kimberley I have a breadbin, I just hate having bread on the benches on display plus my partner is useless at fastening the bread back up so if he puts it in there it doesn't tend to go hard.
soappie, oh heck, happened to me last week, saying that all I did was throw a towel on the floor and wipe down the front of it all, mine needs defrosting as soon as it's empty anyway. Hope all the food is still ok.One day I might be more organised...........

Shell - Sorry to hear about your nan-in-law. I agree with all the other ladies about what to tell the kids. There is also a good book which my mum used for my brother & sister when my nan passed away. I'll see if I can find it / remember what it is called.
I did not get any flylady chores done last night. I had a quick tidy up in the front room, made dinner, packed lunches and emptied DW.
Very tired this morning as the puppy we are watching for two nights would not settle. She cried in the kitchen when we went to bed, she barked when I took her up to our bedroom. Eventually I had to go and sleep on the sofa to keep her quiet. Any ideas on what I should do tonight with her?? We are having her for two weeks in June so, I wanted her to get used to the house before but, I can't continue to sleep on the sofa with her every night... Thanks in advance for suggestions.
Hope everyone has a good day. No snow yet here although they were reporting it for this afternoon on the radio.

soappie.. if it is frost free just shut the door.. it gets rid of all the frost itself.. we've had the same in here!!!
Shell.. ((((hugs)))) for you ahd hubby. I couldn't tell anyone when my gran died, I kind of fell to pieces.. having a 2 weeks old baby and being very ill myself didn't help I'm, certain normally I'm a 'get on with it' kind of person. Anyway.. when she died the children (2 weeks, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 13) were told she was very old, her body was tired and very ill and she had died and gone to heaven. We were quite specific to tell them that neither hubby nor I would die (because I was very ill) and that I would get better because I was taking my medicine, but there wasn't a medicine that could make nanna better because her body was tired. Now she was happy in heaven and seeing her brothers and sisters and her mummy who had died already and she would be telling them all about my children and our cousins etc. We talked about funny things she did and presents she had bought them. We never got one question... not one!!!
