    Hello all,

Not done any flying today, although I have made loads more baby meals to freeze for dd (a couple of different pasta sauces, and a random mixed veg puree). Also done some washing, been to a friend's for lunch and tidied all my cooking mess in the kitchen!

Only had time to read this last page so far... I am so in awe of all the f/t working flygirls and boys... I am on maternity leave still, and don't know how I would fit it all in, though having said that I used to do loads more volunteering etc and other bits and bobs when I worked full time so I guess you just fit things in around whatever is hapening in your life at the mo!

I'm gonna have a cuppa (dd asleep, dh just gone to a meeting) and then do some of the bathroom cleaning.... IThe PC is in DH's study which is not an area I would ever tackle so that makes my list a bit shorter!

Thrilling Thursday - Study/PC area and Bathrooms

    Clean floors in these rooms
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Clean baths, toilets and sinks[/STRIKE]

    [/strike]DH did this yesterday- hurrah!
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • [STRIKE]Clear a hotspot, if it's bad at least spend 10 minutes on it [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]
    • Remove anything from window sills in these rooms, clean before replacing the items (which you have of course given a wipe)
    • [/STRIKE][STRIKE]Clean toilet bowl inside and out, the floor in front of it aswell if you need to (I wonder when boys/men will learn to aim?) [/STRIKE]
    • 15 minutes paperwork filing/flinging. Deal with anything urgent now
    • Towels & Flannels- wash any grimey ones, make ones which are ''beyond repair'' into something else (flannels, cloths etc) or get rid!

Slight change of plan- had a mad hour and now sitting down with my cup of tea. I've done the bathrooms, hung a load of washing on the miaden, put on a new load, decanted (right word?!) ice cubes of baby food into bags and frozen 2 new trays, sold something on ebay (woo hoo!)... and I think that's me done for the night.

(Though admittedly it's already Thurs and I STILL haven't started on my plans to sort out my "study"... got a lifetime collections of photos to sort and put into albums, files adn files from my degree and masters to think about recycling, loads of stuff to file and sort..

    Aaaarrgghhh:eek:

Back to my tea I think...

Aww Elizzy he is lovely! DS1 is going on Saturday too. But he loves it, so no bother. DS2 hates it so I bought clippers.

Well PC tidying went great. Hoovered inside the PC and everything!

Installing new router didn't go well, the eathernet port on this PC doesn't work, so i am looking out the receipt and taking action! haha!

But right now, I'm going to relax for a bit then do teh dishes and make sure everything is ready for tomorrow.
  • Bathroom is done again for another week - I don't like doing the bathroom. I've paid some bills and moved money around, chatted on the phone for a bit to Mr Messy who's fast becoming my favourite ex, bless him. I really need to eat, I missed lunch 'cos I went to tax the car. I'll do a hurried food list until the microwave goes ping and do my shopping list after. I think I'm going for an early night 'cos I'm so damn cold.
Have a good day tomorrow Flylovelies, catch you in the evening no doubt.

likklegibbon - hugs, and best wishes for your father

embb - hot bath, cup of cocoa and bed. I've worked as a gardener for quite a few years, and starting in September after the school summer holidays is killing...the house will still be there, and because you've been such a good flylady, it won't take much time to do ( I hope!)

soappie - great! I never think of come backs like that until I'm driving home

hex - clematis - maybe, daphnes - yes, yes, yes. I only have odora aureomarginata and am about to get bholua 'Jacqueline Postill'. I'm not at all bothered by Tia and pigpen's shoes/boots pictures, but those daphnes... are you a member of the Alpine Garden Society?? One of the gardeners I work for is Hardy Plant Society and Alpine Garden Society, and often goes on the AGS trips. She's been to Iran, and Canada and is off to Turkey to look at bulbs this spring - which I'd love to do.

DS1 and I picked up his TV, it's a very nice Sony Trinitron, and he only paid £31!!

Must go and do the washing up, and put in another load of washing. DS2's rugby kit is needed again tomorrow, although he can barely walk today. His team lost by just one try yesterday:D , but the referee from the other school made a point of telling them how well they'd played, and how good they were at the various techniques (don't ask me for details, as although DS2 hasn't stopped talking about it, I haven't understood a quarter of it... )
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

Oh dear I seemed to have slipped again but at least with the kitchen and livingroom being on a mon and tues, the house always looks good to visitors. OH is washing up at the moment as I had a moan that I always seem to do it. Maybe I ought to go and dry up!
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

  • Evening everyone.

feeling tired but health wise ok tonight, although the tired is not surprising as i have had a bit of a blustery day here too, and break duty in the canteen is always hellish.

    Achieved lots:
    • taught 3 lessons
    • printed out all my homework sheets to cover me till half term, and perhaps beyond for some groups.
    • completed lots of incident reports on the school computer system
    • organised my end of return to work support meeting so i can then be officially a 'competent' teacher, which makes me laugh as that will leave 24 school days till mat leave, and then i will be back in support when i return. Big joke.
    • marked a y7 homework
    • done my lab plan
    • cooked a shepherds pie for dinner
    • caught up here - most important job of the day
    • packaged up 2 items that have sold on amazon - need to get DH to post them for me tomorrow
    • done mentoring on my year ten students/work experience
    • practiced the demo of the national grid system to talk to y12s tomorrow in lesson
you lot make me chuckle and cheer me up.

poohbear sat marking - the website to apply to is www.makingamark.org.uk, i applied a few weeks ago now, but i think they are still taking applications. The first year i applied it was too late for that marking cycle, so if you are serious about it do it soon

hope DS piccie was lovely - why is it boys are harder to get their hair cut? I tried my friend cutting DS's hair and he didn't want a bar of it, we ended up taking the clippers to him in the end, and that was only a few weeks ago but it needs doing again, and we all ended up covered in hair last time so i am putting it off.

DH is off tomorrow, so list is getting written. I also need to do a little bit of school work still, just reading through some stuff so i will do that tomorrow.

opinion wanted please i noticed today when i was bathing charlie that he has a cut on the top of his head. The sort caused when someone catches you sharply with a finger nail looking at the sort of curved shape to it, and the poor little mite was obviously tender there when i washed his hair tonight. I wasn't told by nursery he had hurt himself, but to be honest, with it being his head, i would rather have been told about it even if it was some sort of accident. I have noticed the odd scratch on him before like on his legs from nappy changing, but i was wondering how to approach it tomorrow. I think i should mention it, but was wondering how bolshy to be. I was quite annoyed this evening but don't want to upset them as it would be git if they were less accomodating when i am even more part time than now. Plus as i am a sensible person, i know it is likely to have happened cos he has run into one of the staff or stood up too quick near him. and i know boys are boys and accidents happen. Someone should surely know he hurt his head
