Seriously loosing the will to get anything done.

Scrap place was good, not wow but good. Got some black buttons for the gingerbread costume and some card and fabric to make it's face. Also got a couple of bits for the submarine not quite what I had imaged but ok.

Did get a piece of fabric to fix OH threadbare office chair - finding the time to do it will be the thing.

Right need to glue the mask so it can dry and then clear up from tea and run the bath - think I'll do bathroom then or that will be another thing left.

Need to fill in on line reply to ms too.

Soappie - :rotfl: nearly wet myself at your work story - DH had a giggle at that one too.

Embb - thanks for the positive comments (may copy and paste just incase I get an interview then can read just before I go in;) )

    Tea done.
Made rainbow cakes - kids like them (big surprise :rotfl: )
Ordered some dresses, think I have 5 coming from various places so will see. As they were all in the sale still cheaper than hirering would have been.

    Hello all,

Not done any flying today, although I have made loads more baby meals to freeze for dd (a couple of different pasta sauces, and a random mixed veg puree). Also done some washing, been to a friend's for lunch and tidied all my cooking mess in the kitchen!

Only had time to read this last page so far... I am so in awe of all the f/t working flygirls and boys... I am on maternity leave still, and don't know how I would fit it all in, though having said that I used to do loads more volunteering etc and other bits and bobs when I worked full time so I guess you just fit things in around whatever is hapening in your life at the mo!

I'm gonna have a cuppa (dd asleep, dh just gone to a meeting) and then do some of the bathroom cleaning.... IThe PC is in DH's study which is not an area I would ever tackle so that makes my list a bit shorter!

Thrilling Thursday - Study/PC area and Bathrooms

    Level One

    Clean floors in these rooms
    Level Two
    Clean baths, toilets and sinks
    Clear any clutter from desk
    Dust PC and desk
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
    Level Three
    Wash your bathroom mats
    Wipe down tiles in bathroom
[STRIKE]Defragment hard drive on one PC or laptop
    [/STRIKE]
    DH did this yesterday- hurrah!
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • Clear a hotspot, if it's bad at least spend 10 minutes on it
    • Remove anything from window sills in these rooms, clean before replacing the items (which you have of course given a wipe)
    • Clean toilet bowl inside and out, the floor in front of it aswell if you need to (I wonder when boys/men will learn to aim?)
    • 15 minutes paperwork filing/flinging. Deal with anything urgent now
    • Towels & Flannels- wash any grimey ones, make ones which are ''beyond repair'' into something else (flannels, cloths etc) or get rid!

Hubby home, sprats in bed though not sleeping, just going to take mop up to the bathroom and mop the floor in there then.... *dramatic pause*

Do the PC desk and install the AOL stuff and set up xbox live. And hoover under the desk, get rid of furry stuff, hoover the PC itself and generally get it ship shape and no internet till it's done. *hyperventilates, shakes and has withdrawals*

    Hiya
I'm back to the will he or won't he land tonight due to the storms. I'm not going to panic because he's a grown up so he can always celebrate his birthday on another day.

Got car back from garage and now i'm £300 lighter. Wish I could lose lbs just as easily.

Slight dilemna...DDs nintendo DS has gone missing. It's been missing since her witch of a friend came to play and i'm really trying not to jump to conclusions. I don't think she'd have taken it but i'm wondering if she's hidden it for a joke. DD is really good at putting it back in the drawer when she's finished with it and they've never misplaced one before.

Think i'll go open a bottle of wine as it's been a busy day. Anyone want a glass?

    Hiya,
I'm going to be disciplined (lucky me..) and do some flying this evening after blowing a great raspberry to it last night. Bathroom I'll tackle in a mo, I want to pay some bills and move money about too this evening and have a reccie to write a shopping list for tomorrow.
Shell, apply apply! Have confidence, Ducks! I've got to apply for the job I've been doing for the past two years sometime in the next week (long story) and can't afford not to get it so some focus time where I realise I AM indispensible and fantastic is due. I'm not great at blowing my own trumpet but I'll have to bluff for a bit.
Embb, I'm not surprised you're tired out, sounds very physical on a daily basis. Try and think of it as being paid to get super strong. Like someone else said, give it a few weeks before you try and do what you used to do at home. You will be 'reet' ;)
Lil_me, you're going great guns to get shipshape before the 3rd aren't you! Well done.
MollyGeorge, welcome to the thread. I think someone (sorry can't remember who) has said all that I would say. Slowly slowy and not too far down the line it'll just be a case of half and hour ish a day, your weekends will be your own again and you get a good bit gossip and advice on here.
Happy thoughts to those troubled and hugs to poorlies too.

    Back in an hour.

  • Evening ladies

Well, I've done sweet b all today when it comes to flying.
I have however braved the wind and the rain to go to the bank and take ds to the hairdressers. The trip to the hairdressers involved a certain amount of bribery though. We went in and ds suddenly decided he wasn't going to have a haircut.......... there I was soaking wet after out 30min walk to get there so I gave up and promised a Take Along Thomas from the toy shop if he was good and let the nice lady cut his hair.
It really needed doing....DSC03042edit.jpg...this was christmas day. So, think one month on, in his eyes and sticking up like a flylady loo brush!

This is how it looks now...DSC03091.jpg..... bless him, shawn the sheep springs to mind!

I may do a little flying now.... or maybe not....

    Hope
    xx

Aw he's gorgeous HopeElizzy, lovely eyes. How old is he as he reminds me of my DS. My two are staying up until 8 so they can finish birthday cards for DH. I've opened the iwne and have given up looking for nintendo DS until tomorrow. Must make myself some tea. House quite tidy - much better than pre-flylady but my report would say 'could try harder'. I'm fine Mon and Tues and then I slack. Maybe Pigpen's mix up of rooms will help me.
