Hi I have not posted for ages but reading your story prompted me. I do agree that maybe getting the puppy was not the best idea but sometimes when we are down things like this cheer us up temporarly.
I agree that if its poss return the puppy and then spend some time on here getting help from loads of friendly people. They can help with you budgeting not only the bills and food but also your time.

Hi MollyBear
On reading your first post I was thinking if that was me no way could I give up my dog...I'd struggle through no matter what. BUT on reading further, I have to say that your pup would probably be better off in a new home. NOT because you can't care for him but because you have such a full/chaotic life...who doesn't
that by doing this for your pup shows that you do really care what happens to him. As another poster said please make sure whoever has your pup truly want him and will love him as you obviously do because you want whats best for him and obviously for yourselves.
I can't believe I'm advocating giving him up but this will be an act of love on your part. That's the way you have to look at it...
Good luck whatever you decide to do...it's a hard decision.

oops posted twice out of practice
Just a thought but could your older two children help out a little bit. Maybe cleaning garden one night a week or emptying rubbish bins, or any other small job that would just help you a bit£2 saver club, over £200 now:

Oh Molly bear!!! Hope you are well? I am so proud of you for sticking up for yorself!
And i'm really so disappointed that someone who has been around these parts as long as broken hearted still thinks it's acceptable to air those kinda views, and then comes back for a second pop at the OP with more posts and thoughtless comments!! You really should know better and are giving
MSE-ers a bad name.
You've had some good advice and some home truths, which were delivered with your best interests at heart. You also had some uneccesary pops from some people, but you were fit for that person, so we needn't worry on that score!!!
See you around the other threads!!!
(it's okay everyone, my dog poop obsession has ended!!!)

Hi Molly Bear,
I was wondering - have you reached a decision about the puppy?I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

Molly,
don't you dare listen to the idiots on here! I cannot believe some people are so unkind.
So the puppy goes to a new home, really not the end of the world is it? he will be fine the kids will manage, you clean your garden as often as you like.
Would the eldestkid walk the dog? is *she well trained? and can be trusted? I walked my dog when I was 11. bless him he was fab!
and as for hanging on by your finger nails, yep most people here start like that and this place helps loads and loads. in fact I have only recently started to hang on by my finger tips instead.
You are doing a great job and will work things out.
you take care hon xxxx
* I mean the dog not your child!!Nevertheless she persisted.0
