Fry with onions and peppers and then toss in tagliatelli and mix with some pesto sauce.
Or cook with onions, add rice and stock, add garlic, cook until rice tender then add mushrooms and frozen peas/sweetcorn/carrots. Cook until veg/mushrooms cooked.Books - the original virtual reality.

Have you tried your local butcher for bacon mishapes / pieces. I pay about 30-40p per pack - and always buy a couple at a time so I can use one and freeze one.0

bacon, mushrooms, flour (to make roux) and then milk. Pour over fav pasta - esp green tagliattele or spag. I used to virtually live off this!
Do you have a bread maker? One of the recipies in my book calls for bacon - apparently a great loaf to toast and top with poached egg!

Make up some toad-in-the-hole batter and use the bacon, once fried, instead of sausage
OH likes to fry bacon pieces in a little crisp-n-dry and lately he adds a touch of BBQ table sauce, then crack some eggs (usually 3 in his case) over the top so you get fried eggs with bacon bits inside them. I personally use fruity table sauce and lots of freshly ground black pepper  This is usually served on 2 slices of white toast to mop up the egg yolks.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
