Today I went to the butchers as always and thought I'd share the cost of what I bought so maybe people who don't normally go to theirs might try them :)

    I bought:
    6 rashers of smoked bacon
    12 sausages
    1 cornish pastry
    2 pheasants
    1 large leg of lamb
    1 ham hock

Total cost should have been about £27 but I paid £22 but that's a different story! :rotfl:
Anyway quality is superb! And this will make at least 7 or 8 evening meals if not 9.
    Good value? I think so!

Glad you enjoyed a little peek where I live. It didn't show a great deal, mainly the water areas. I live in the middle of the island. I can see the water if I stand on the roof. :D

Haribo Brrrrrrrrr. But still beautiful. You definately win hands down on how lovely the scenery is. Some places we saw it was just so glorious it took my breath away.
Granny Are you drinking the cooking sherry again? :D
MrsMix I hope DD is OK & I'm glad the boy is getting punished for it.

Bit bleary eyed today. The late night tennis matches are starting to take their toll. DH is taking me out to tea tonight at the Bowls Club (with no green) They have meals on a Friday night. You have three choices:
    1) Fish, chips & salad
    2) Roast of the day
    3) Chicken Snitzel (sp)
:think: I think I will have option 1. :D Have a good nights sleep everyone. Byeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Sorry to hear about your DD Mrs Mix. I hope the school sort it out. x

Sorry GB... I hadn't a clue what you were on about last night re DGS1 but I hope he is not still toatally orange. ;)

I'd swap it all to live somewhere warm. Brrrr doesn't even begin to cover it tonight and we have 70 mph winds and horizontal rain. Again.

Edit....OS wise I made scones, soda bread, crusty bread and banana bread. :D Atkins diet anyone???? :D

No HJ - It is GDS3 and I was prob too tired last night after the Kingdom of Fun. What a wonderful king he was, DGS1. Seemingly they can go orange with the weaning with too much sweet potato, swede, carrots etc. Can't digest and recommend not to blitz. Well, if you want to wean babies on good real food - what do you do? Cook real food and then blitz or buy baby jars. We have looked at pictures of DGS2 and he has a few orange bits about him too!

Hope you and the family OK.

    Love GB xxxxxxxxxxxxx

    PS
