Sorry, have to drop out. Just had a phone call to say an elderly relative not doing good and might be bad news! Not another funeral but I think perhaps yes. Feel I can't be too flippant now as waiting for phone to ring.

Hello
I have been reading posts on here and it has given me so many ideas as i am a carer for my disabled mum and income is a bit tight.
So I popped to costco purchased some aberdeen angus mince 2.5kg for £16.00 and some foil trays from my local cheap shop and other stuff for asda's so totaling around the £25.00 mark, also i was given today 8 ciabatta loafs, stewing steak and a tin of corn beef so for a couple hours work i have ended up with enough dinners to fill the freezer.
So today i made 6 cottage pie, 4 mince beef & onion pie, 6 lasagna, 4 lasagna meat pies, 5 cheese & potato pie and 16 mixed pizza's, I still haven't finished i still have the stewing steak and corn beef to go i will do these tomorrow these will be another 6 meat, onion, mushroom and mashed potato on top and 4 pies with pastry and with rest of the mash add the corn beef to make about 6 corn beef hash. :rotfl:
Well Done Everyone Please keep the ideas flowing if this works out o.k i will do this every month.
Cheers

Evening everyone
Off to bed in a bit - going to treat myself to an early night as all my plans went awry. I had planned to leave work early and get a bit of a headstart but got called in to court to sort something out just as I was leaving. then I got a text from dd's friend's mum to ask if I could pick her up which meant it wasn't worth leaving early. I have just gotten more and more behind all night so am giving up.
Dgs3 called to ask for a thousand pounds - apparantly every time there's a quiz show on telly he calls his mum to tell her that "thousand pounds" is on. I had to tell him I don't have a spare thousand pounds but suggested he ask his grandad who after three months of deliberating about whether to up his maintenance payments for the first time ever is going to bung me £50 on saturday. That works out at about 17p per minute of time wasted trying to get him to sit down and sort out this and other aspects of his financial mismanagement. I would like to throw the money back in his face but I'm skinto till thursday.
dd11 has presented me with a very professional looking feasibility study on the subject of keeping a hamster. I am scared of anything rodenty but she has put a lot of thought into her arguments and at least I have all her promises in writing. I will cost it up and see if I can treat her on payday - a friend thinks she might have a nice cage in her garage which would take care of the biggest expense.
Aussie - when dd11 was born she didn't have a name for 8 weeks as a so-called friend nicked the one I had put by. We just couldn't agree on a name at all until the school secretary called to say that her big sister- then 7 had told her that her new sister was all pink and white like a Blossom - Yay thought I but exoh put his foot down and said if it was up to me she'd be called something stupid like Rainbow Tempest Storm which I thought was equally lovely - I blame it on the hormones - luckily he put his foot down again and after a letter from the registrar threatening fines, imprisonment and whatever we settled on Jasmin - up to that point she had been known as Baby Scrumptious
this is where I live http://www.quinparker.com/zone6/feltham.php - jealous aint you
my little sisters from ddad's 2nd marriage were great aunts at 9 and 12 thanks to my naughty dd18I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Oh Dear
Phone has rung and one of my Dad's SIL has passed away. Not close but will mean a funeral next week for DH and me. DD and DS never met that aunt but we have to represent the family. My Mum feeling grief but actually did not like her SIL by marriage. I think Mum feels vulnerable given her age and her contempories dying. She is in her 80s after all.
Love and hugs to all my dear friends.
