Evening all
Belated B'day wishes to Aussie.
Very quiet at work, it's the calm before the storm & I have 2000 booklets to produce by Friday, that would be ok, but I won't get the information to work on til Friday!
I'm off to work on the phone for an hour & crochet at the same time, I'm managing about 6 to 8 squares a time.
I hope everyone has a peaceful evening.
Hugs Hester

Need a winge excuse me..................after the seat on the toilet slipped and depsoited me on the floor I phoned the repair dept. The chap came this afternoon, walked in and left great big dirty footprints on my hall carpet.....gggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I left it to dry and have brushed it, it has not come off...........I have left it for tonight, will have a go with somecarpet shampoo tomorrow.
The chap repaired the seat, so now you can sit down wihout hanging on to the wash hand basin...................
We heard today that the heating engineers are coming to replace the radiator in our bedroom, its only 7 weeks since we reported it.....we have had no heat in our bedroom since 2nd Decemebr.

Afternoon all - i had a quick peek at you all at lunchtime - so that's what you all get up to when I'm hard at w*rk - cheers for the laughs (the civil service will of course be sending an invoice for a coffee splashed screen)
Rushing around this evening as it's our Big Telly Night - "our" programe for me and Torchwood for dd and everything noisy must be done with by then - regular readers will remember that I "ruined" last week's torchwood by selfishly stubbing my toe and hopping about in pain for one or two nanoseconds
tea tonight is fried potatoes, fish fingers and baked beans - yay we're having Kid Food - I love being a single parent
have a good eveningI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Well, I have only just found out that heath Ledger has dies. How sad
Stef I hope you are not so selfish with the toe stubbing this week
So, we trimmed our bay tree, it was all straggly but is back in its lovely shape now.
Catowen Do you want a bingbag of bay leaves (you live near me!)
That wasn't really the plan for the day, but never mind. Have also washed the kitchen floor.
Dunno what else I am going to do tonight...sit here I guessI might go and make some of Nigellas Peanut Butter Squares in a minute (I have some Pb that needs using)
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Hiya, I'm taping Martin's prog at the mo as I'm going to relax and watch it when DD2 is in bed and DD1 is back from Guides.
A very busy day in work today as we had a Teddy Bear's Picnic Day to link in with our current topic. We had lots of very excited LOs who were very well behaved but very hard work, so my knees and back are aching tonight. I'm on a course tomorrow so I can sit and listen to someone else talk all day and try not to fall asleep!
Tonight's tea was hm (xmas)Turkey and Leek pie from the frezzer with lots of mash and veg and we were all stuffed after it. Not much os here tonight only the wm and td to go on, far too tired!0 -
Hmm...
The program is over and the site currently has almost 9,000 people on line!
I thought things were getting a little slow
Still - this is much better than when we used to grind to a halt whenever we went much over 2,000
I just checked again - a few have dropped off line but we broke the record this evening...Most users ever online was 8,921, Today at 8:20 PM.

Well BIL just rang me up before. It was at 6am. Lucky I was awake. DNiece had the baby (girl) just after 5am this morning (that being 24th Jan) after 30 hours of labour. They ended up giving her a c-section. She was 9lb 9oz and 59cm long. Ouch.
Mum & baby are doing well. DSis very tired too. She was there with her and cut the cord.
Got a busy morning lined up as I'm looking after DGS again this arv. There's been a few things XDIL has had to do and it seems to have landed all this week. Next week I'll be helping DD pack. Moiliere, well that's praise from a professional.
I wanna parrot just like Pooky's.I wonder if they will take the toaster back.
Have a good night's sleep. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Congratulations Great Auntie Aussie. :j
Have a lovely holiday Essex Girl.
Just back from a school board meeting. Came home via tesco and got a ton of bargains. :j Fillet steak, 3x organic smoothies, finest large steak pie and 2 HL ready meals all at 10p each. The ready meals were "buy 2 get save £1" so that also went through and Tesco paid me 80p to buy them.
Made a macaroni cheese, tuna pasta bake and chicken and sweetcorn soup this afternoon and tried a plait loaf for the first time which worked really well.
Off to make up packed lunches and tidy the kitchen.
Night night.
