Well I will be aiming for an incredibly early night - normally I run in the evening, so a morning run really really really does seem as though I am taking this marathon lark just a bit too seriously! Of course, in a few weeks time, 10 miles will just seem like a jog around the block, but at this point in time it seems like a bloomin long way!
I used to find I could run faster at night than at any other time of the day...dunno why though?!?!
Yep won't be long before that seems like a really short run!!! Must be fab to have that to focus on, but I imagine it is quite scary too!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

So you have a far better attitude and motivation than me and also that cycling is helping you stay fit even if you are not running at the mo
I get in a right flap in the car! Can't wait till it feels like second nature and I am not soooo in a state!!! The traffic thing gets me stressy at I get stressy all day at work too! Just it does get very cold out there on the bikeand not nice when it is icy as I keep on falling off

You have a far better attitude to exercise than me too. Just the fact that you get out there and complete these races is a great achievement.
I did do the Race for Life a few years ago and was going out running regularly with a friend from work in our lunch breaks. But when I left that job I stopped going. Now I'm thinking I'm too heavy too start again at the moment and also have no idea about buying the right sort of trainers. Might have to start with a bit more walking!0 -

That's when I try to pop out, during my lunch breaks when I can. Did you enjoy the running when you did it? I know I am quite a bit heavier now than when I started running tooIf you decided that you wanted to take it up again and you wanted to get some trainers, there is a good shop on St Michaels Hill in town, called Up and Running I think and they watch you run and also use the tradmill and film it so they can try and find you a good trainer! I did that first and then when I wore them out, which didn't take long as I am very heavy footed, I went online and tried to find the same ones cheaper on ebay!

I did enjoy running before - once I managed to start to control my breathing. I've got mild asthma so I really didn't enjoy feeling like I was gasping for breath.
But I've got three children and I work with young children so I would really like to have more energy. I sometimes drop off to sleep on the settee at night at the moment.
I've pm'd you by the way.0 -

Heya JC67,
PM'd you back!
Just wanted to say the falling asleep thing...you ain't alone! I do it all the timemust drive my boyf crazy but I just can't help it. I try so hard to stay awake but it is very hard. I dunno how you cope with three kids...I have enough problems with one! I get so very tired and it seems like I am tired all of the time!

Righteo...£60 paid to the M & S card and the leftover money I had put aside from Xmas...woo hoo!
Great to see it coming down!
Haven't done much today...been moozing about, tidying up and popped to Asda to get foodies and petrol. Hopefully won't have to buy anything now for the rest of the week which is good as don't have much money left this week! I have been dividing up my money into weekly amounts after bills etc have been allocated for so that I know how much I can spend and then if there is anything left at the end of the week, it can go towards the card so I am not waiting for payday all the time and the card appears to come down quicker...even if it isn't really!!!
No baddie food for me this week so reckon I have saved a few quid there! Have been thinking about cooking something new each week to try out new foods and ideas. I got an Asda magazine earlier (free of course!) and saw a recipe for a fish stew. Reckon that next week I might have to give that a go!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Have had to register for the M & S card online banking kinda thing as was getting in a right flap trying to pay the money! Hopefully now I can keep a close eye on it...if I can remember all these dam passwords! Soooo many to remember!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0
